Donna Grant was born and raised in the Texas/Louisiana border. As a child she had a dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer and wanted to work under her idol, the phenomenal Mikhail Baryshnikov. Although Donna Grant never managed to meet Mikhail Baryshnikov, she did manage to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. As she grew up Donna Grant developed a liking for the romance genre and this undying love, coupled with the numerous love stories in her head prompted Donna to start writing her first novel, this was back in the year 2005. This would be the beginning of a great journey to success for the bestselling author Donna Grant.
It is therefore not a surprise that one cannot think of a list of the modern best-selling authors without mentioning the name Donna Grant in that elite category of writers. Back in the year 2005, having just been displaced by Hurricane Rita the infamous storm that was responsible for destruction of portions of the Gulf Coast of Texas Donna Grant sold her very first book. Once this book was published there was no turning back for Donna Grant and currently she has published more than 20 books.
The Druid’s Glen series is a popular read among Donna Grant’s fan base. The complete series that contains five books which include; Highland Mists, Highland Nights, Highland Dawn, Highland Fires and Highland Magic. This series is a mixture of paranormal fiction with a flavor of historical romance that sees the reader step into a world where the Fae do exist and Druids are given special powers. With the Highland Mists being the first book of the series Donna Grant depicts a world filled with the mystery of Scotland, the magic of the Fae, and the passion of love. The main plot involves a single prophecy that is meant to save the world on the other hand there are two realms fighting for control and three Druid sisters who hold the key to salvation and the hearts of the men that would love them. The two main characters in this series are; Gregor MacLachlan who is a mercenary haunted by his sinister past and tries to keep his secrets in the dark. The complete series that contains five books which include; Highland Mists, Highland Nights, Highland Dawn, Highland Fires and Highland Magic. He has made a notorious reputation all over Scotland as the man with the ability to kill efficiently and with nobody to rely on he has grown content to rely only upon himself that is until he meets Fiona Sinclair. The other major character is Fiona Sinclair, a powerful, independent Druid priestess who learned early on that she was alone in the world, a world she though was responsible for taking away her sisters and her parents leaving her o choice but to depend on herself alone. With Gregor Maclachlan being the only man who can protect her from the man who killed her parents, Druid is met with the tough as of having to trust her safety as well as her heart to this mystery man.
Another best-selling series from Donna Grants collections of books is the Shields. A complete series that contains six books namely; Dragon fire connected, A Dark guardian which is the first book of the series, A kind of magic, a dark seduction, A forbidden temptation and A warriors’ heart that concludes the shields series. In this series Donna Grants writes about the end of the world, where the earth is about to be annihilated by mythical creatures spoken of only believed to have existed in the myths and legends and so the fabled race of the Fae have gathered together a group of warriors highly skilled and trained to defeat these creatures. These men who come from different times and realms, are ready to give their lives if necessary, to end the destruction of our world. In the first title of the shields series, A Dark Guardian the reader is taken through a time travel courtesy of weapons that have been created by the Fae themselves. The treacherous journey filled with thrills of adventure and dangerous experiences leaves the reader doubting the possibility of surviving to see another day. With the lives of the entire human race balancing on the hands of the person given the onus to lead the army of highly skilled fae warriors who are from different times and realms as they embark on a journey to try and stop the destruction of the world by going to war with the evil creatures hell-bent on annihilating the earth. In this first book evil comes with a disguise in the form of an angelic, innocent face of Lady Mina of Stone Crest. The leader of the shield is left in a state of dilemma whether to trust his instincts that have always kept him and his army alive or whether to believe the self-proclaimed innocence of Lady Mina. Indeed it is an intriguing and captivating read for the audience.
Despite all the writing and reading that she has to do in her time and the never ending pressure to meet deadlines, Donna Grant still has time for her family which consists of a proud and supportive husband, her two young children, three cats and one long haired Chihuahua. Some of her past time include traveling around the world, having been to Mexico, Jamaica, and Scotland as well as throughout the United States. It is also evident that her love for traveling is well highlighted in most of her novels for example her depiction of the historical world in the Druid’s Glen series is from her visit to Scotland a place she loves a lot.
Judging by the heavy success Donna Grant has achieved with the publishing of the sizzling Dark King series that got her the award for the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, it is safe to say she is only going to get better and better with time and her readers and fans can expect more bestsellers from this talented writer.

I enjoy all your stories, no matter the subject, you have a magical way with the weaving of words that brings the characters to life. I have had the pleasure of reading the first few books of the “Reaper” series but I cannot seem to ever find any of the rest of that series at the library & I’ve been searching for them for over 5 years. I can’t afford to buy them or I would have from thrift stores except I rarely find them second hand either. So if there is a resource for the Reaper series that is low cost, I’d be o er the moon to finally get to read this series. Thank you for sharing your amazing imagination w/the world.

I enjoy reading your books. During my recovery from a heart attack while at home I read the Dark Kings Paper back books and some others. It has kept my mind off my health troubles and other issues. I am still trying to find more of the Dark Kings series. Some of your books I have reread when I could not afford to purchase other books. Your writing and imagination amazes me. You are truly blessed. I am still looking for those that I could not find. Thank You!
I want to say thank you for all your amazing series and the adventures your books takes one on. Your Druid’s Glen and Dark Kings helped me during the lock down of the Covid nightmare of 2020. I enjoy reading and listening to all your books, and I do not mind re-reading or re-listening to them over and over again. God continue to bless you with imagination and inspiration to continue to keep your readers entertained for many many more years to come. God Bless. Charleen Singer, St. Cloud, MN
