While he has made quite a name for himself as an author, he has been an ordained mister for more than two decades, teaching the bible to the Christian community. Neal is now retired from Christian ministry and focuses on community development and Christian fiction that he believes is his ultimate calling. He combines adventure, fantasy, science fiction, and his faith to make for interesting fantasy and Christian novels. He also uses his platform to showcase the life of an American and his walk in faith which he believes is far from perfect.

Donovan M. Neal’s “The Rise of Fallen Stars” is set long before the human age in the age of the race known as the Elohim. These were angels that served and worshipped the Creator with their chief an Archangel that was named Lucifer. He is a perfect creature who spent his days in the presence of the Creator and walked in the Stones of Fire that decorated the heavenly places. Lucifer was all perfection until it was discovered that he had iniquity in his heart. Heaven had never experienced war until Lucifer spat in God’s face and said that he would rebel against him and get all the worship instead. The universe would be turned on its head as it was unthinkable for a high ranking angel who lived in the presence of God to rebel. What was even worse was that a third of the heavenly host rebelled with him and were cast out of heaven. Many stories have been told about this great schism but there have been few that have attempted to explain the complicated relationship between the angelic host and God. The rebels and their leader Lucifer has never been analyzed in a different light before. This novel takes us back to the beginning and explores the story of the rebellion including the choices made, the allegiances broken, and what has led to the status quo in the current universe.

“The Birth of God” by Donovan Neal is the sequel to the first novel of “The Third Heaven” series. The fallen stars are rising as heaven has been decimated by the war of the rebellion. Lucifer’s expulsion means that mankind now plays a huge role in the archangel’s plot to topple God. Michael who had managed to defeat Lucifer is promoted to the leader of the Angels, even though he will be tested to the limit in his new role of Chief Prince. But there is conflict within him as he struggles with obedience to God and the kingdom of heaven and a vision that the creator had shown him which painted a bleak picture of the future of the heavenly kingdom. Will Michael take the darker path and rebel or will be yield and trust the will of God and light. To save his creation and heal the rift in his kingdom, God makes the ultimate sacrifice by giving up his son. In doing so, he answers the ultimate question who do you love and whom will you serve. The novel focuses on the struggle between trust in God even when one believes God’s plan is not what they want or when they may believe they know better.

“Apocalypse of Kings” by Donovan M. Neal is the exciting conclusion to “The Third Heaven” series. The novel is set a millennium after Yeshua the son of God ascended into heaven. In the meantime, Lucifer has put in place plans to destroy mankind and oppose the kingdom of heaven through the Anti-Christ, the ultimate anti-God weapon. Lucifer has managed to weaponize mankind to rebel against God and the heavenly kingdom. The Anti-Christ has been granted Lucifer’s powers and now looking to destroy the God-stone. Once they have amassed enough power, the Anti-Christ and Lucifer will march their armies to go fight the armies of heaven. They will stop at nothing in their quest even as the season of grace that God had granted men comes to an end. The time for the ultimate battle between evil and good will be fought between the Anti-Christ and Christ’s armies. Will the host of heaven manage to defeat the host led by the Anti-Christ given that they also have human rebels on their side?
