EN Joy is an urban fiction author that is best known as the author of several blockbuster novels. She made her debut with the novel “Me, Myself and Him” that she first published in 2008. Since then she has become a prolific author and has written the “Always Divas,” the “Still Divas,” and the very popular novels that have been called the “Soap Operas in Print” in the “Forever Divas” series of novels. Prior to this, she was a bestselling author for “Essence Magazine” and wrote secular titles under the pseudonyms Joy, Jossel and Joylynn. She was for more than a decade an acquisition editor at Urban Christian Publishing. Joy has also worked with Brenda Jackson another bestselling author and together they wrote a great anthology that would then win the African American romance award. “Dollar Bill” her urban fiction work was translated into Japanese and was featured in “Newsweek.”

After more than a dozen years working in the insurance industry as a paralegal, she got divorced from her career. She then moved in with her passion and mistress writing. In 2000, she started her own publishing company and it is from her company that she would go on to publish several works until she got a deal from a major publisher. Since then, the award winning publisher has also become involved with teaching and has offered her expertise in many conference panels across the United States as well as in Columbus, Ohio her hometown. “The Secret Olivia Told” her children’s fiction novel that she wrote as N Joy won the American Library Association Coretta Scott King Honor. The novel has more than 100,000 copies in print and was acquired by Scholastic Books. She loves the fact that middle school and elementary school children get to fall in love with creative writing and reading from her workshops and readings. In addition to her writing, she frelances as the artistic developer of “DJHK Gurls” a young girl group. She also does love to pen monologues, original songs and drama skits on messages such as bullying, relationships and education for youth.

While she started writing as Joylynn M Jossel and Joy as a secular fiction author, she would later pivot to Christian fiction under EN Joy, and N Joy. She believes God has always been there for her keeping watch over her. Nonetheless, it was not until she decided to become a born again Christian that she acknowledged God’s love for her. She is now a proud fiction author and a proud Christian. EN Joy made her debut in Christian fiction with her novel “Me, Myself and Him” which was the novel that brought her into the spotlight.

“She Who Finds A Husband” by EN Joy is a thrilling Christian fiction story. At the start of the story, the pastor of the New Day Temple of Faith church is beating himself up over a decision he made. He had allowed the members to come up with a New Day Singles Ministry and tens of youth had joined. The Church Mother of New Day who is well loved among the congregation had been the one that had presented the idea to the pastor. She believed it would be a way for the single members to get empowered, encouraged and enlightened. But the problem is that only the female singles join the ministry and they are only interested in finding a man and none of the other things. The novel is what you get when you combine so virtuous, divine, animated, independent and virtuous personalities. It is a soap opera of a novel that sees the women of the single Ministry set out to find a man for their futures. But what they do not realize is that they have a past that is holding them back.

In EN Joy’s “Been There Prayed Tha”t opens to Mother Dorren having quit the Malvonia Ohio based New Day Temple of Faith. She has now gone back to Kentucky as her diabetic sister needs her help. Her sister’s husband is a truck driver who for the most part lives on the road. Mother Doreen believes that she has to intervene to save her sister, particularly when the actions of an assistant pastor become too much. Her suspicions are heightened when she starts seeing that her sister’s belly is becoming distended. Could it be her discernment spirit that is telling her of bad things to come for the church and her sister’s home. Things in the church and her sister’s home are not what they seem to be or maybe Mother Doreen has become a busy body looking into things that should not be any concern of hers. Meanwhile, Maeyl’s and Tamarra’s relationship in Malvonia could not be better. Tamarra believes that God brought Maeyl into her life and now he is just about to propose to her. But she becomes suspicious when someone that Maeyl used to know makes an unwelcome and unexpected visit to New Day Temple of Faith. Will their relationship be able to deal with the stress of Maeyl’s past.

In EN Joy’s “Love, Honor or Stray” opens to Deborah finally having let go of a past that had haunted her for years. She thinks she is ready for love and Lynox Chase, a tall and handsome man she met seems to be a perfect match. He is doing everything in his power to make her fall in love with him. Deborah believes that he is the man that God has set aside for her and that he would one day come to marry her even if there seems to be an invisible barrier between them at the moment. Meanwhile, the wedding bells between Blake and Paige can still be heard ringing even as Paige starts getting comfort from an old friend resulting in temptation rearing its ugly head. Just when Tamarra believed she had managed to put out one fire, another one started soon after. When someone from Tamarra’s past tries to rekindle a relationship with her it results in a very large blaze. Tamrra does not believe that even God could get her out of this conflagration.

It’s truly been a blessing to read your books. I just finished the. Ew Day Series and I’m not sure what series I’m going to read next. Keep up the fantastic work for the Lord. The best part about your books are: they are up lifting, giving a right on time word, including the word of God. I’m on the edge of seat to see what may come of Nicholas and Lorain. Not sure if this book series is over, but if it is, I enjoyed every book thus far.

I’m a fan of Christian fiction. I read all the books by my local author Stacy Hawkins Adam’s and was stumped as to what to read next. My daughter encouraged me to Google Christian authors. I have been hooked on your works since October. I’ve read all of the New Day series and can’t wait to read the next publication. It is so awesome to find books that fit into my genre of reading. Thank you so much and please keep the books coming!!!
