The EarthCent Ambassador series is a successful series of science fiction, humor, romance, and fantasy novels. It is written by a renowned American novelist named E.M. Foner. The series is comprised of a total of 15 books released between 2014 and 2018. Every novel of this series features the main character in the role of Kelly Frank. The other essential characters mentioned by Foner in the books include Aisha, Dorothy, Donna, Baa, Samuel, Vivian, Kevin, Libby, Joe, etc. In the series, it is shown that the universe is run by highly advanced beings called Stryx. They possess robotic AI and govern all the planets for their own interest. The Stryx appoints EarthCent as an autonomous pseudo-government for interacting with humans. After they discovered Earth and its human population, they gave them the advanced form of technology for their interstellar flight. The EarthCent represents humanity’s interest with the support of Stryx.

The series opens by showing Kelly Frank as the diplomat of EarthCent. Being a consul, she has access to the exclusive, elite, and expensive dating system called Eemiss. Kelly wishes to find the perfect man for her and subsequently, she goes on numerous dates, but doesn’t find any success. After she becomes fed up of seeing multiple failures at dating, Kelly decides to use Eemiss and rectify her situation. To her surprise, the dates don’t go well even with the help of Eemiss. However, she seems satisfied with the fact she is able to do her work effectively being a diplomat. Kelly saves the Earth from falling for a bad contract and succeeds in putting an end to the scheme of bride-kidnapping. She also finds a considerable amount of success in preventing the aliens from counterfeiting the trade goods of humans. Joe McAllister also goes through the same dating disasters as Kelly Frank. After he obtains Eemiss subscription, he also experiences failures in this department. Joe is a decent man and a generous being. He finds an orphan name Paul during a battle and raises him as his foster son.

Joe has everything in him to deserve a nice woman. So, things begin to change for good when he comes across Kelly Frank. The two find a perfect partner in each other. As the series progresses further, Kelly is seen indulging in other tasks and landing in funny situations. Overall, the books are quite enjoyable and humorous to read. There are a number of endearing, funny, and antic elements that make the readers intrigued. The series has been appreciated by a large number of science fiction fans all over the world. They have loved and praised each & every book for their rich contents and engaging characters. Author Foner gained a lot of motivated from the success of this series. His popularity increased multiple folds right from the series’ first book and went on to increase further with the later books. Even the critics liked this series a lot and reviewed every book with great comments. They praised Foner for his excellent writing skills and storytelling abilities. Many even said that this series set him up in the league of the prominent authors of science fiction.

E.M. Foner hails from Northampton, Massachusetts. He is happily married and resides with her wife named Alexa. Foner says that choosing the career path of writing was more of desperation than inspiration. He suffered a loss in business and remained unemployed for more than 20 years. This is when he decides that he had enough of the rat race and started trying his hand at writing. Whenever he sits down to write a story, he tries to write something that he can read without having to blush. This is actually the outcome of his effort to write a story, different from others. The EarthCent books were the result of Foner’s attempt to describe an optimistic future. Writing humor is something that Foner finds very difficult to write. And so, he struggled to mix violence with humor in his novels. Foner believes that he has evolved greatly over the years as a writer and editor. Currently, Foner is working on the editing part of his latest novel, which is also a part of the EarthCent series. He is expected to release the book soon for his fans to read and enjoy.

When Foner began working on science fiction stories, he struggled for the first few years. He became so much frustrated that he decided to take a break from science fiction. Surprisingly, he came up with the idea of his first book. Eventually, he finished the writing part and published it to achieve great success. Since then, he has not looked back. His goal behind mixing science fiction and comedy was to see if there is an audience to accept this genre. Many readers have suggested the EarthCent novels could have a PG rating because of the depiction of bloodshed, graphic sex, and the use of abusive words. After the first book came out, Foner received a number of requests to develop a series. Subsequently, he began the development of a sequel novel. The plot of his later novels involves a mixture of diplomacy, family relations, business, and gaming. Besides this, Foner has also a new series set in the same EarthCent galaxy, but with a different set of characters and missions. He believes that the two series might intersect at some point.

The debut book of the EarthCent Ambassador series written by author E.M. Foner is entitled ‘Date Night on Union Station’. It was released in 2014 by the Paradise Pond Press. The book opens by introducing Kelly Frank as a top EarthCent diplomat on the Union Station. Her job appears to be vague. Kelly receives a dating service subscription as a gift. The service is believed to be run by the artificial intelligence that powers the whole station. Kelly thinks of giving it a try. But, when her dates keep ending abruptly, she hopes for a happy ending. The second installment of this series is entitled ‘Alien Night on Union Station’. It was also published by Paradise Pond in 2014. This novel begins 5 years after the end of the previous book. Kelly has married and settled down in life, while continuing with her job as an EarthCent ambassador. Most of the station’s aliens don’t interact with her. But, with the emergence of a new game that has started to change the power balance, she hopes that humans get hold of some of the powers. As she struggles to understand the changes, her husband begins his micro-brewery business. And the arrival of her mother only adds to her problems.
