Never Buried is the first book in the Leigh Koslow book series by renowned author Edie Claire. Never Buried is a book that brings the reads an exceedingly close cast of characters, individuals who knew each other way back in high school, friends of their parents or are related to one another. Ties which span throughout generations and everyone knows everyone except the person who turned up dead. Set in Pittsburgh, the steel city, Never Buried begins with on a high note. A dead body is found; however, the body belongs to a person that the entire town had never seen before. In Never Buried, Claire introduces the readers to Leigh Koslow. Leigh Koslow is a character who has been suffering. Currently, Leigh lives with her cousin who happens to be pregnant. Their friends and their parents reside a few meters away from her cousin’s house.

Leigh’s main job is to take care of her cousin since her husband is away on duty. However, things begin to get worse when a dead man’s corpse is found in their yard. It becomes clear that there is a person, who is more than determined to ensure that the girls give up the house. As luck would have it, one of Leigh’s former classmate works for the police force. An exceedingly old neighbor tells Leigh that she might have an idea about some of the secrets that the old house harbors. Against the advice of her parents and family members, Leigh Koslow decides to look into the mystery. The climax of the story is not only unexpected but also shocking as well. It is going to delight any mystery reader.

Never Sorry is the second installment in the Leigh Koslow cozy mystery series. The writing is superb while the characters are not only well flashed out but also likable as well. Just as it is the case with Never Buried, the main protagonist in this is Leigh Koslow. Leigh is back one more time and is more than determined to ensure her advertisement business kicks off. As it is the case with any upcoming business, the cash flow is exceedingly tight; thus Leigh decides to take a part-time job at a zoo so that she can be able to cover her living expenses. Since Leigh assisted her father who was a veterinarian, she is exceedingly experienced in handling animals. Furthermore, the local vet is a person she has been crushing on for such a long time. While working at the zoo, Leigh discovers human body parts in one of the cages belonging to the Tigers.

Once the autopsy is conducted, the body is found to belong to one of Leigh’s former high school friend, thus making Leigh one of the case’s primary suspect. Thus, Leigh begins to delve into the case, while trying to figure out what happened while at the same time trying to clear her name. It does not take long before Leigh Koslow finds herself deeply invested in the investigation. With that said, despite the fact that this is clearly a cozy mystery, the entire series has a sense of realism compared to a majority of books published under the genre. The reasons why the main character is connected to the case, the motive present is quite reasonable and the characters in the novel act in an exceedingly rational manner. Never Kissed Goodnight is the fourth book in the Leigh Koslow book series.

In this book, Leigh Koslow, the protagonist is married to Warren, thus in the process bringing a sense of reason and calmness in her life. However, Leigh has not given up on her mission to save the world. Despite the fact that Leigh has finally found happiness, her cousin’s life appears to be exceedingly perfect when compared to hers. Cara not only has an adorable son but she also has a knockout figure and an exceedingly gorgeous husband. Cara and her entire family have also been featured on the television due to their exquisite lifestyle. However, if Cara’s life is exceedingly perfect, why does she show up at Leigh Koslow’s apartment late at night with tears in her eyes.

Upon further investigation, Leigh discovers that Cara’s husband has not only been lying but also sneaking around as well. Furthermore, Gil has been acting strangely. According to Cara, the signs of a cheater is quite obvious, however with her background in the advertisement business, Leigh is more than certain that there was much more to the story. After conducting a little bit of investigation, Leigh is exceedingly shocked with what she finds out. With that said, Never Kissed Goodnight is an excellent read that will keep you the reader intrigued.

I just reread the complete Never Series and enjoyed as much the second time as I did the first. I wish there were more of this series to read. What would be fun also is to see this series pick up with the children a little older and following in the adventuring footsteps as their parents.
