Elaine Levine was born as the third child of a father, who only wanted to have sons. Currently, Elaine resides on Colorado plains with her husband, a rescued pit-bull and a parrot. Elaine Levine is widely known for the Red Team Contemporary book series and numerous other Historical Western book series including Men of Defiance.

Edge of Courage
The Edge of Courage is the first installment in the Red Team book series. In Edge of Courage, author Elaine Levine introduces the readers to Rocco Silas, a tortured hero. Apart from suffering a severe case of PTSD, Silas is also on the verge of ending everything with the hopes of escaping his suffering, guilt, and nightmares. However, Rocco Silas decides to engage his mind into something more productive by taking upon Kit’s offer to assist his sister in the construction process of a rehabilitation center. While serving in Afghanistan, Rocco experienced extreme difficulty and suffered a great loss as well. When Rocco eventually returned to the United States, he was a traumatized and broken man. Apart from being not able to sleep, Rocco also did not like to be touched and experienced episodes where he constantly blacked out. Rocco was a man who walked on a fine line between death and life.

As time went by, Mandy, Kit’s sister was eventually able to reel Rocco in and talk him out of his suicidal thoughts. There are instances, when Mandy felt as if she was soothing a skittish and wild horse. From the look of things, Mandy was the only person who could clearly crack Rocco’s hard shell. With that said, author Elaine Levine has done a brilliant job of creating a protagonist, who is suffering from the traumatic experience that he had in Afghanistan. Many people have already given up on Rocco, but Mandy, his friend’s sister decides to stick by his side. Mandy has a gentle and healing touch that works wonders for Rocco. Apart from being understanding, Mandy is also extremely gentle, while at the same time not allowing him to hide and back down from some of the horrors that he is required to face. Readers are going to fall in love with Rocco. Author Elaine Levine has done a brilliant job of creating a character who is not only real, but also brings out the many horrors and problems that many soldiers face, when they head home.

Furthermore, Elaine Levine has also given the readers a glimpse into what exactly happens when their family and friends do not understand what the soldiers are going through. Elaine Levine has also shown how a little patience and understanding can be all these soldiers need to recover fully. The Edge of Courage was not only faced but also an easy read. The world that author Levine has created is realistic, while the characters were also realistic and quite enjoyable as well. Elaine has also done a fantastic job of taking the current events and then in the process bringing them to life.

Shattered Valor
Shattered Valor is the second book in the Red Team series. It picks up from where the first installment, The Edge of Courage had ended and in turn, focuses on Ty Bladen. To know the players, the readers are advised to read the books in the right order. Author Elaine Levine brings to life a narrative with interesting parts, and the characters that she has created are full of texture such that the readers may want to know who they are. Ty’s story is so heartbreaking. However, Kit Bolanger his best friend who had rescued him when he was still a teenager. Nonetheless, Ty still manages to carve out a life for himself. Ty returned to his hometown, so that he could effectively heal from a bullet wound on his thigh. A sniper from one of the radical groups in Afghanistan on the thigh shot Ty.

The house that Kit was raised in does not have the warmth that it initially had. The Red Team have recently uncovered a huge drug ring operation in the United States and the team’s main task is to stop the drug flow, while at the same time annihilating the United States distribution team.

Honor Unraveled
Honor Unraveled is an exciting special operation romantic novel and the third installment in the Red Team book series. Elaine Levine knows how to pen down suspense novels which have the right blend of dangerous suspenseful and swoon-worthy romance scenes to maintain the interest of the readers and pique their curiosity of what was to come next. Author Levine has the aptitude of creating compelling heroes who are extremely fierce protectors of the people that they are love and are willing to put their lives on the line to protect the people who are under their care. The heroes in Honor Unraveled are imperfect. Apart from battling with past traumas, they are also dealing with their insecurities as well as their inner demons, which have prevented them from leading a normal life. Female protagonists on the other hand, not only fall but also love deeply and support the red team.

Honor Unraveled centers on the member of the Red Team, a military team which works in the private sector. Now, the team has joined forces with Homeland security and the FBI, to track one of the largest terrorist groups, that is under the command of a drug lord.

Twisted Mercy
Twisted Mercy is the fourth installment in the Twisted Mercy book series. In Twisted Mercy the readers meet with Hope Townsend who has spent several years looking for his brother. Hope was separated from her brother when their mother was brutally killed. However, it does not take long before Hope Townsend locates her brother, thanks to an enigmatic source. Hope’s brother is deep within the compound of a prison gang and a motorcycle club. The only way that Hope will be able to reach out to her brother is with the assistance of Mad Dog, one of the most lethal members of the gang. With that said, Twisted Mercy is a brilliantly written novel that will keep fans of the red team fully entertained.

   Did you ever write the last book in the Men of Defiance series. The book was called Dulcie and the Bandit.
   I have looked for it but, I can’t seem to find it.

   Please let me know something. If you did write where can I purchase it?
