Publication Order of Anthologies

An American writer with a strong focus on crime fiction and thrillers, the novelist Elizabeth Heiter has been writing for a number of years now, with her unique take on the genre that stands in a league of its own, especially when it comes to creating powerful and resourceful heroines that are able to stand on their own two feet. Getting into the minds of serial killers and murderers, she has also been praised for her ability in taking readers on a journey into the darker realms of the human psyche, never shying away from whatever may lurk inside there. Not only that, but she is also known for injecting a little romance into her work as well, something which many has also seen her gain a huge amount of acclaim as well.

Early and Personal Life

Born and raised in America, Elizabeth Heiter was always interested in both reading and writing, a passion she was extremely invested in from a very early age. Always reading and writing with a voracious appetite for whatever literature she could get her hands on, it was always evident that she was going to become a writer when she grew up. Constantly focused upon her end goal of becoming an author, she would continually keep honing and refining her craft throughout the years, as she kept working on finding her voice.

Spurred on by others throughout her education, she would work on her writing constantly practicing her craft whenever and wherever she possibly could. Graduating from high-school she went on to study at the University of Michigan where she also graduated from gaining a degree in English literature, something which also helped her in her choice of profession. It was during this time that she also started to really apply herself to her chosen genre, always focusing on getting her ideas and concepts formulated, as she would feed everything back into her work.

She would continually take in inspiration from the world around her, allowing it to inform her and work, as her observations would make the ideal material to build the foundations of her ideas on. This was an ethic she would apply to everything, as she found herself constantly coming back to ideas on the human psyche and the anatomy of the modern mind. Looking into murder investigations as research she has found herself in a variety of different places, including the shooting range of the FBI Academy where she was able to gain first hand experience for her novels.

Still writing to this very day, her career as a fully fledged novelist is only just beginning, as there’s a lot more potential for her to grow as an author, ensuring that she’s definitely one to watch. A member of the International Thriller Writers and Romance Writers of America, she is a highly active member of the community and a very vocal and talented presence there, one that is respected by both her many peers and contemporaries alike. With a lot more novels to come on the horizon, it appears that she’s not going to be stopping anytime soon, as her writing career grows from strength-to-strength on into the foreseeable future.

Writing Career

Bringing out her first novel in 2013, she made her way onto the literary scene with her initial debut title ‘Hunted’ which was the first in her ongoing ‘Profiler’ series of novels, which consists of over four so far and counting. Alongside this she has also launched the ‘Lawmen’ franchise consisting of three titles so far, along with her ‘Lawmen: Bullets and Brawn’ series, which consists of three books so far too. There’s also a lot more books set to be released in the near future as well, with many of these series being open-ended in their nature, allowing room to keep expanding on them indefinitely.

This isn’t going to be stopping anytime soon either, as she continues to write for an ever eager audience who are always growing day-by-day. Winning awards such as being shortlisted for the National Readers’ Choice, the Daphne Du Maurier and the Booksellers’ Best awards, along with winning the RT Reviewers’ Choice, she is highly regarded by the critics as well as the general public. Knowing her audience well and clearly understanding her chosen genres fully, she has become an enormously prolific figure within the literary industry.

SWAT Secret Admirer

Initially published in 2015 this was first brought out on the 17th of March, as it was released through the Harlequin publishing house to an already eager audience. Clearly knowing the format of the series well now, this marks the third entry into her ongoing series titled ‘The Lawmen’, which has seen a huge boost in popularity. Basing itself within the world of law and order, it manages to capture everything the made the first two books, whilst simultaneously providing enough of its own unique inventiveness in the process.

Maggie Delacorte has been an FBI Swat agent for ten years after going into the job due to a set of life-changing events involving a vicious attack that almost took her life. Now the attacker, the Fishhook Rapist, says he’s coming back to finish the job and it’s up to her, an elite fighter now, to get to him first before he finds her. That’s when Grant Larkin is assigned to the case as well, and he takes it upon himself to stop the attacker, despite his deep-rooted feelings for her. Will they find the attacker before it’s too late? Can they stop them for good? What will become of Maggie’s SWAT secret admirer?

Marking the third entry into the ongoing and ever popular series titled ‘The Profiler’, this novel manages to take things forwards in its own direction, whilst also remaining true to the first two. Set around the ongoing case files of FBI criminal profiler Evelyn Baine, it charts her rise to success as one of their most prominent and gifted members on the force. First brought out in 2015 on the 29th of December, this was originally released through the Mira publishing label once again to an eagerly waiting audience.

After Evelyn Baine has been captured by a highly dangerous cult of survivalists it’s up to her to make it out alive. Despite the fact that this was supposed to simply be a straightforward investigation, she now finds herself fighting for her very life within the midst of a nightmare. Adding to that it seems that there could be a major terrorist plot underway, one that threatens the safety of many, as it appears the the cult leader is looking to settle a score with the FBI. Will she get out alive? Can she prevent the threat? What will happen after she is seized?
