The Alien’s Ransom is the first book in the Drixonian Warrior book series. The heroine is Frankie, a human woman who goes to bed one night and only wakes up as a prisoner in a spaceship. Before she can figure anything out, they land on an alien planet and are taken out of the ship by enormous dolphin-like creatures. Soon, a group of blue-horned human aliens arrive on hoverbikes and save them. The hero of the story is Daz. He is the leader of the Drixonian clan, whose sole responsibility is delivering the cargo from the spaceship to the Uldani, an alien species they were once at war with who held his brother prisoner. He is supposed to deliver the women in exchange for his brother’s release.

The Drixonian males were never aware that the cargo they were to deliver to Uldani would be human females. If they go ahead with the trade, it will go against everything they believe in. When one of the dolphins, like an alien, hits one of the women, Dax and his warriors take over and take them to safety. Alien’s Ransom follows the tropes of a standard alien romance, allowing the reader to understand better the different alien technology, flora, and fauna on the alien planets and the unique anatomy of the alien males.
The story is cheesy and funny, especially the steamy language used to describe things in this alien-human romance. For instance, when Frankie and Daz are cleaning off in a lake, he dives and comes up from the water, and she describes it as “some erotic surfer commercial.”
Rexor is the first book in the Stolen Warriors series. It’s an alien abduction paranormal romance book with dark themes but crafted with love and a great sense of humor. The story explores more about Rexor, an edge character in the Drixonian warrior series. He is the brother that everyone talked about but was presumed dead, but in truth, he was abducted, experimented on, and sold as a slave. The story also contains themes that may be offensive or a trigger to some, including violent scenes of abduction, assault, steamy intimate scenes, human trafficking, fondling, physical and mental torture, and some fight-to-death scenes.

Even though this is a spin-off from The Drixonian series, it’s not a must to read the original series, but it’s also recommended as there are reoccurring characters and an overarching storyline between the two. Meet Daisy, kidnapped from the earth while she was asleep. She was heavily drugged and only remembered being aboard what seemed to be a spaceship with other females. Daisy finds herself in a gladiator arena as a “prize” for the winner. Even though Daisy is a positive woman who views everything critically, she finds it hard to cope with the situation on the new planet, especially when it’s a planet full of monsters who look like they want to pounce on her, kill her and probably eat her.

Rexor was captured and experimented on, and as a result, he has several modifications in his body, including a split tongue, tail, and personality that comes out in a red rage. He finally managed to escape from his enslavers and now works with other warriors to help others. They devise a plan to burn the arena to ashes, but everything goes south when Rexor sets his eyes on a golden-haired human female.

What the Uldani aliens did to Rex and his warrior friends is nothing short of brutal. Ella Maven doesn’t spare any details about this enemy and their disrespect for life. Rex now views himself as a monster they made him, and during a match in the arena, he unleashes the monster within, which makes him kill his master and escape. His determination to protect Daisy at any cost results in some crazy adventures. Through her characters, Ella Maven takes us on an epic journey through different planets, spaceships, and stations. We also learn about a group of new alien species courtesy of Rex’s gladiator status.

The Alien’s Sacrifice is Ella Maven’s Outcasts of Corin series debut novel. The series is the spin-off from the original Drixonian Warriors but with a new layer of intrigue, intense emotion, fear, and uncertainty. Tasha and five other women stay in this strange galaxy much longer than that Frankie and her counterparts from the first two series. Unfortunately, Tasha and her friends were never rescued from Uldani and were tortured and experimented on for months. Now each woman has abilities they never possessed before, thanks to the experiments performed on them. When they manage to flee from the captors, their ship crashes on Corin, forcing them to survive at all costs.

Even with their newly acquired abilities, Tasha and her friends are highly vulnerable and are soon attacked and abducted by a new race in Corin. Lukent is an outcast, a child of those who deserted the army and brought shame to their families. They are viewed as undesirable, and while on patrol, he hears a woman screaming for help. He immediately runs to the rescue, and despite the language barrier, it doesn’t take long for Lukent and Tasha to have a solid bond. Chemistry sparks, and soon their love blossoms, but will the two be allowed to have a relationship? Will the Drixonian and the human mates accept the modified women in their society? Will Tash and Lukent survive the turmoil and keep their love strong?
