Emily Harvale is a bestselling romance fiction novelist who grew up in the East Sussex town of Hastings.
All of her life, she has written for pleasure, even though her career took her toward banking and the law when she lived in London the English capital for years.
It was not until she felt seriously ill that she began reconsidering her future and moved back to Hastings. In more familiar surroundings, her health began to rapidly improve, making it possible to begin concentrating on writing.
Harvale has had a very exciting journey and has since become a bestselling novelist in addition to setting up Crescent Gate Publishing her one imprint.
She has also been an All-Star author on Amazon KDP for several years and is a member of several professional groups including The Society of Authors.
While she still has some health issues and has to often take breaks, she is a full-time author who is always working on at least two manuscripts.
In addition to her debut novel “Highland Fling” which she published in 2012, she now has at least 50 titles to her name across several series and single-standing novels.
Over the years, Emily Harvale has made a name for herself penning short stories, novellas, and novels about family, friendship, and falling in love.
As a huge believer in first sight, she is a connoisseur of happy endings, even if life does not always go according to plant. Nonetheless, her stories will always warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.
Emily also loves to connect with her fans and readers and in addition to the newsletter on her website, she usually communicates with her fans on her Facebook Group. This is where she gets readers involved in the choice of book covers, titles, and more.
When she is not penning her novels, she loves to enjoy the stunning views of the countryside and coasts of East Sussex. Whenever she is home, she can be found enjoying cake, a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine with friends.
Emily lives with Portia and Beatrix her two rescue cats that like to sprawl across the keyboard even when she is writing. Sometimes, she can be found pottering in the garden, cooking, and messing around in the kitchen.
“Summer at My Sister’s” has to be one of the best novels by Emily Harvale.
This is the story of Diana who is living the perfect life which is very different from that of Josie her twin sister. Diana is married to a successful and rich husband with whom she has two talented kids and an adorable dog.
Whenever she steps out, you may be forgiven for thinking that she is a model that just stepped out of the cover of a magazine.
She has a beautiful second home by the sea where she usually spends idyllic summers with her family which had once been featured in an actual magazine.
On the other hand, Josie her sister has to deal with compact messy, and flat dates as relationships seem to have eluded her.
She is always moving from one job to another, goes to clubs with her friends, and more often than not, she looks like she just fell out of a hedge.
While Josie loves her sister, she has always declined invitations to spend the summer holidays at her beautiful house because she has a secret.
But maybe even Diana is hiding something and her life is not so perfect. Things will get very interesting when secrets start to come out.
Maybe Josie will finally have the opportunity to have the life she always desired if she can take the chance offered.
Emily Harvale’s novel “Christmas at Aunt Elsie’s” is the story that follows the life and times of Lottie Short.
At the opening of the novel, Christmas is approaching but she is not looking forward to it given that she just lost her job and she has been dumped by her boyfriend.
Lottie and Merry her beloved spaniel are facing a bleak future and festive season alone. However, a round-robin letter and a Christmas card give Lottie hope.
With the first snowflakes falling, she heads to Seahorse Harbour, a tiny seaside village to visit the aunt she has not seen for several years. She will be staying at a comfortable Bed and Breakfast where she will be getting some sea breeze to lift her spirits.
But she never planned for her aunt to take a fall, a blizzard, or all the drama happening all around her. The good thing is that she gets a very warm welcome from her aunt who has a roaring log fire when she welcomes her to the village pub she runs.
There is also the local vet named Asher Bryant who brings to Lottie’s cheek a rosy glow. It does seem that the festive season might turn out a lot better than she could have ever imagined.
Maybe Lottie and Merry will not have to spend New Year on their own.
In “Just for Christmas” by Emily Harvale, Molly Ford gets an unexpected Christmas surprise when she stumbles upon a cute dog all alone on the road.
Since the local vet cannot take in the dog Molly offers to take him in. However, she will be spending Christmas with Terry her brother whose girlfriend has a severe allergy to dogs.
This means Miracle the dog could be just one of many needing a new home for Christmas. Miracle soon develops a reputation for causing chaos whenever he goes. He eats the honeyed ham, shreds all Christmas presents, and pees on the Christmas tree.
Molly is ecstatic when her best friend Chance offers Miracle and Molly a place to stay for the holidays.
She does not mind, even though the man tells her she will have to go out on a date with him in return. But she is shocked when she learns that Chance is about to propose to another woman.
It turns out that the date is just an excuse to get her alone so that he can ask her to help renovate his dilapidated cottage with her interior design skills before his girlfriend arrives on New Year’s Eve.
But as Chance and Molly grow closer as they partake in Christmas festivities, they may come to some pleasant realization.
