About Emma Dean
The American writer Emma Dean is well known for her many paranormal romance novels that really sizzle on the page. With a lot of her stories also being given a fantasy setting, she definitely knows how to draw her readers in, as she manages to write in way that’s direct and to the point. Not only do her books provide a sense of escapism though, she also creates a lot of strong leading characters in her stories. This has proven to be massively successful, with a large number of readers the world over appreciating her work over the years.
Engaging her readers in a fun and entertaining way, Dean is extremely aware of herself as an author, but she never lets this get in the way. Her work is never overly self-conscious, as it clearly enjoys itself, giving the reader exactly what they want, whilst also bringing in a degree of intrigue too. This works to keep the reader constantly guessing at every turn, as there’s plenty of twists and turns along the way. The romance itself is also extremely well done, giving her stories a definitely charged atmosphere that lingers throughout.
Her characters are also compelling, as they leap out from the page, really resonating with the reader in a manner that is personal and authentic. Leaving their mark on the reader, they ensure to make the stories impactful, giving the audience something take away with them. It’s also the case that she keeps her readers continually coming back for more with her series, constantly looking for the next instalment. There’s a lot more to come in the future too, as her writing career continues to grow, finding its audience all over the world.
Early and Personal Life:
Growing up in America, Emma Dean would always harbor a strong passion for both reading and writing from a very early age. This would develop throughout the years, as she worked on her craft, establishing her voice as a writer, articulating her style and tone. She would later get started on her writing career in 2017, not looking back, as she went on to then find an international audience.
Up to that point she had managed to hone and refine her style, creating her own unique approach to the format. Focusing largely on genre based novels, she’d seek inspiration from her many peers and contemporaries, all the while finding her own idiosyncratic take. Currently living in California where she works, she resides with her husband and their son, as she continues to write to this very day.
Writing Career:
Bringing out her first novel back in 2017, Emma Dean would start her literary career with the novel ‘Princess of Draga’. This would not only introduce her as an author for the first time, but it would also start the ‘Draga Court’ series of much loved fantasy books. Following this she would create the ‘Blue Mountain Wolf Pack’ series as well, beginning with the novel ‘Alpha Wolf’ in 2018.
There would be numerous other series over the intervening years as well, such as ‘Chaos of Foxes’, ‘University of Morgana’, and ‘Passel of Raccoons’ to name but a few. She also wrote a stand-alone title in 2018 called ‘Spotted Her First’, which was a self-contained romance novel set in the world of the paranormal. Not stopping anytime soon either, she will carry on for a long time yet, gaining acclaim from both critics and general readers alike.
Spotted Her First
Originally published through the ‘Crowned Star Publications’ outlet, this would first come out on the 26th of June in 2018. Working entirely as a stand-alone novel, it would not be a part of any series as such, but it would contain many familiar hallmarks for regular followers of Dean’s work. Looking at the world of the paranormal, it’s a self-contained story, filled with passion and romance, with its own adventure.
There’s so much world-building here, as it really manages to capture a distinctive and highly evocative atmosphere. Enveloping the reader within its rich world, there’s an ambiance quite unlike any other, making it an addictive and compelling read. The characters are also very well developed, making them interesting and engaging to follow along, right until the exciting conclusion.
Living an otherwise quiet life, Piper is a librarian at Sacramento State who’s working on her graduate thesis there, that is until three attractive guys crash into her life. They’re leopard shifters and they want to protect her from a witch and a demon, as she’s sought after for her pharaoh’s blood. She must now deal with the paranormal world, whilst also coping with what are now her three mates, along with dealing with a demon contract. Can she find her way out of it? Will she be able to save herself in the process? What will happen after they spotted her first?
What the Fox
Once again published through the ‘Crowned Star Publications’ label, this would initially come out on the 26th of February in 2019. Marking the third title in ‘The Chaos of Foxes’ series, this would provide the final conclusion to the franchise, wrapping it up. Giving the readers a satisfying ending, it provides plenty of surprises along the way, keeping them constantly guessing. The book itself is also filled with a lot of passion and romance once more as well, with it now being a signature trademark of Dean’s writing. Developing the story from the previous novels too, it captures what made the first two work, whilst also delivering something unique of its own.
Trying to find herself in the realms of the paranormal, Kenzie is trying to make sense of her status as a void witch. Extremely rare, there’s not many of them, and her mates love her for exactly who she is, although Hunter is playing very hard to get. Looking to bring down Bradley Davis, they are facing complications as Kenzie must master her powers, as they aim to take down the individual who cursed her sister. Will they be able to finally stop him in his tracks? Can they overcome the obstacles in their way? Just what the fox?
