Eva Devon is a USA Today bestselling author of historical romance. While she currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska, the author was born just outside Portland in Oregon.

However, she spent much of her childhood in the coast range, which she found absolutely beautiful. She usually frequented the beach with her family and still misses the towering cedar, pine and fir trees of her hometown. She very much loved the ski to sea atmosphere and often dreams of moving back there.

Even though she grew up loving the outdoors, literary fiction was fodder until she was thankfully and quite accidentally introduced to romance. One Christmas season she was given “The Present,” a novella by Johanna Lindsey Mallory and her life would never be the same again, as she became addicted to romance.
She would devour most of Lindsey’s works before she discovered the paranormal and contemporary romance genres. She now likes to write about her own alpha-like and roguish men, and the women who tame them.

Even though Eva Devon loves to read and write romance in general, historical romance seems to be her preferred genre. Growing up as a child, she loved dressing up in the garb of historical people, which perhaps informs her love of historical romance.

During her childhood, she was quite a fan of history particularly the rooms, castles and the clothes she used to dress up in to recreate her favorite eras and historical moments. She always desired to have curled gorgeous hair and fabulous dresses that she sometimes saw in historical shows and read about in novels.
At the time, she would have given anything to be dressed up in historical ball gowns and get to show off in a ballroom. Devon loves several historical eras and has dabbled in everything from medieval to the 1930s and the second World War.

She particularly loves writing regency romances as she finds it a great escape from the tears and wears of everyday banality. She likes writing and reading romance as it sweeps her away as a reader. She also gets to spend a lot of time in historical eras such as Regency England.

She loves that she can take her readers to coaching inns, castles and ballrooms. They also get to meet pirates, dukes, highwaymen, ladies and whoever else takes her fancy.

Eva Devon’s novel “Once Upon A Duke” introduces Kathryn Darrell, a rich widow that is fed up living in the countryside. Now that her philandering husband is deceased, she decides to move to London, where she can experience life and freedom. As a countrywoman she does shock London a little.

She is looking for the often written about Duke of Debauchery real name Ryder Blake. The duke had loved his first wife but when she died, he had buried his heart with her. He has now vowed never to love again even though he gives enjoyment and his body to the women he beds..

However, the only woman he will let into his bed is one that understands that they do not have a future. For his many debauched acts, the tabloids have come to nickname him the “Duke of Debauchery.” Despite his reputation, there are all manner of women clamoring to win his heart and get into his bed.

But then a beautiful widow recently arrived in London shows up at his door for a night of passion, and he realizes that he wants more than a night of passion and tries to send her packing.

Ultimately, he provides only part of what she needed but still cannot stop thinking of Kathryn. Having gotten a taste of what the duke can provide, she is frustrated that he is not willing to offer more and decides to seduce him no matter what.

“Dreaming of the Duke” by Eva Devon is the story of Cordelia Eversleight, a duchess who wants nothing more than her freedom.
Even though she is the Duchess of Hunt, she has spent much of her life sifting through the sands of the desert, uncovering tombs of long dead ancient accountants and cavorting with local tribes in Egypt.

But she is done with all that and intends to head to Paris to learn Hieroglyphics. However, she first needs to annul the marriage to the husband she has never set eyes on. Things get interesting when she meets the man, a duke who is known to arouse wicked desires in women.

He shocks her to her very core and now the only thing she wants is to tame him. He is the son of the Duke of Hunt, Jack Eversleigh who never saw himself inheriting his father as duke. He loves singing, women and wine too much and the only thing he can live up to is his terrible reputation.

But then he is captivated by a young woman who finds him proper and prim, working the patrons at a London club. He is fascinated to learn that she is his wife. Can they learn to accept an arranged marriage or will their stubbornness destroy everything?

Eva Devon’s novel “Wish Upon a Duke” is a compelling story of Lady Imogen Cavendish. She is a widow that survived years being married to a man years older than her and is now happy to make merry and enjoy her newfound freedom.

But after years of partying in the city, she no longer finds any enjoyment in that. All she wants to do is go back to her small estate in Scotland to catch her breath for at least a year.

She finds that her neighbor is a superior, arrogant, infuriating but very handsome duke. The tenth Duke of Blackburn is an arrogant know-it-all named Duncan Hamish Fergus, who is known for being a very upright and responsible man.

Following his father’s ruinous romp that almost destroyed his mother and sister, he vows to never let anyone tarnish the family name again. He thinks not having a relationship is a small price to pay until he meets Lady Cavendish, a mad capped English woman who is his new neighbor.

He has never been tempted by any woman in all his years but he has never met anyone as voluptuous or as mischievous as her. Will Imogen be able to teach the man how to have a little fun or will he suck her into his own world?
