Fiona Grace
Fiona Grace is a cozy mystery writer best known for her debut Lacey Doyle series. In this series, the author tells the story of a woman who walked away from everything she knew only to settle in another country. Fiona Grace’s writing is flawless, and her stories are intriguing. The talented writer is in the process of releasing another series. If her current ratings are anything to go by, her readership continues to grow by the day.

Murder in the Manor
Murder in the Manor is the first book in the Lacey Doyle series. This story stars Lacey Doyle, a 39-year-old woman who has just signed her divorced papers. Lacey did not want children, which is the reason why her husband divorced her. Not one to let life events put her down, Lacey hops on to the next flight Out of New York and heads right to England. This trip is prompted by a childhood vacation Lacey, and her parents enjoyed over three decades ago. With just a few clothes bought at the airport, Lacey leaves all her troubles behind and hopes that her impromptu holiday will be worth it. Well, the seaside town of Wilfordshire turns to be just as she remembered it.

Lacey enjoys the views of this small town. From the ageless architecture to the natural beauty, she cannot seem to get enough of it all. At the spur of the moment, Lacey decides to rent a vacant shop and start an antique business. Moving to England starts to look like a good idea. After all, what does she have to lose? Everything is going well, albeit with a few glitches here and there, and it seems like the whole town is now focused on Lacey. When Lacey’s first customer turns dead, she is thrown into a world she never imagined where almost everyone in the city brands her a murderer.

Fortunately for Lacey, the hot green-eyed baker across the street has taken notice of her, and he is sure that the girl of his dreams is incapable of hurting someone. The police take up the investigation, Lacey gets someone to help with the shop as she recovers from the shock, and there is a handsome guy who is keen to offer everything she has ever wanted in a man. How will this story end for Lacey? Will the police discover the real killer and take Lacey off their list? How about the handsome man who is making Lacey feel all hot and bothered? Will she let him in her life, considering how she felt when her marriage ended?

This is a fairy tale cozy mystery story because somehow, everything works out great for Lacey. Even after being accused of murder, the pieces fall together beautifully in the end. Lacey is a lovable character. It is admirable that even after going through a divorce, having to deal with bitchy neighbors, and being a suspect in a murder case, she holds her head high. The seaside town setting adds a lot to the story, and all the people who come to Lacey’s help, inclusive of the dog, will warm your heart. If you are looking for a light and cozy read that will leave you with a smile on your face, Murder in the Manor is ideal.

Death and a Dog
Death and a Dog is the second book in the Lacey Doyle series. Once again, we get to meet Lacey, her faithful dog, her friends, and nemesis. Lacey is slowly settling in the seaside town and exploring the neighborhoods. She is even making new friends, but just when things are looking like they couldn’t get any better, another murder happens. Once again, Lacey is thrown into the middle of it, and she decides to work to catch the killer. Her friends join her this time around, and they all have quite a blast as they work to piece the details together.

Lacey’s character will develop more in this story, and while she will appear more flawed than in the first book, this also makes her more human and relatable. It is also easy to understand her trust issues. First, her father abandoned her. Then her husband followed in the given abandonments she has had to deal with in the past. Lacey’s ex-husband doesn’t make things any easier. With constant calls about money, a business to run, and a new town to get used to, Lacey is doing better than the average human being. The author also hints about Lacey’s father, the day he left her mum, and his daughter’s wish to hear his side of the story. Lacey has many doubts about her personal life, but Chester is always there to save the day.

The author does a great job with the mystery, and it is going to be hard to uncover the killer until you have read this book to the end. Lacey and her friends will be playing detective, and this will be done behind Tom and the police’s back. At some point, Lacey will lure the murderer to an island, and while this is not such a smart move, everything will work great in the end. Chester proves to be the perfect every girl needs, and Tom’s concern for Lacey and the choices she makes is kind of sweet. How does Lacey figure out the killer? Will she be able to catch the killer in good time before more damage is done?

Death and a Dog is another cozy mystery story with an intriguing cast, exciting storyline, and flawless flow. If you are into well-written mystery stories, you are going to love this book. The plot is intelligent, and the numerous twists and turns will keep you glued to the end. Additionally, the ending doesn’t disappoint. Get to know Lacey better and see how she is handling herself in her new home. The romance between Lacey and her love interest continues to grow, and even though there isn’t much happening in the story, it is clear that this cute couple will have a more serious relationship in subsequent books.

Fiona Grace’s series “A Villa in Sicily” is so good. I keep seeing there are Books # 7-9 of the series but I can’t find it anyway. I’ve checked Amazon, B & N, library and it turns up nothing. How can I find and purchase them. #7 is called Spaghetti and Suspicion and #8 is Lemons and a Predicament and # 9 I can’t find the name. Even on this site when I click it, it takes me to an error page. Please advise. Thanks

They were scheduled to be released earlier this year in March and April. I researched it but couldn’t find out why they weren’t released. I’ve removed them from our list for now.

Fantastic story! But I just finished book 9 and I have been looking for book 10 and I can’t find it. Is there a reason for this?

When will Fiona Grace’s “Framed by a Forgery” and “Catastrophe in a Cloister” come out on audio book? I hate to read and have fallen in love with this series which I listen to via audiobook. I absolutely need to know if Lacey finds her father before I bust!
