Fred Rogers is an American television personality, author, and children’s figure. He is best known for his television show “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” on PBS.

Mr. Rogers was born March 20, 1928 in Pennsylvania. He was a song writer, minister, educator, and the host of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The show featured Fred Rogers wearing his trademark cardigan and tan slacks, inviting the viewer to step inside his home, visit his neighborhood, and meet the characters that reside there. The show started production in 1968 and ran until 2001.

He was an ordained Presbyterian minister and was beloved by countless fans around the world. Tom Hanks would play Fred in a feature film about Mister Rogers. Fred Rogers passed away in 2003 at the age of 74. In addition to having his own show, he appeared on Arthur, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Sesame Street, and more.
