G.S. Carr is a bestselling author of inspirational fiction Carr was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina.
Right from when she was very young, she always loved indulging her imagination. She developed a thirst for reading while still young, as she found that it opened her mind to the many possibilities out there.
G.S. Carr used to consume books like she needed them to survive and it was seemingly inevitable that her love for reading would transform into a desire to come up with her one stories.
At ten years old, she began writing stories and poetry and by the time she officially became a teen, she was deep into romance novels and has never looked back since. She is all about sharing the many interesting stories in her head.
She is best known as the author of the novel “The Cost of Hope.” While this was the novel that paved her way to becoming who she is today, it was by no means her first rodeo.
Carr made her debut with the writing of the novel “Freedom of Love” in 2013, which did not do too badly.

As for how she decided to become a professional author, G.S. Carr does not have an exact moment when it happened. Writing has just been something she has always done and enjoyed doing.
In fact, she still has a report card in which her third-grade teacher said that she showed great potential in her creativity and writing skills.
She has often said that writing is her one true love and even if she never sold a single book, she would still continue writing books. In fact, she often takes some of the money from the sale of her books and donates them to Freedom School.
The organization is a nonprofit that offers free summer school for kids and also works to reduce learning loss and prepare students for the coming school year.
Her favorite part of being an author is the many conversations she gets to have with her readers. G.S. has said that she loves getting messages from fans and readers asking why a character did something or something turned out the way it did.

Outside of her writing, G.S. Carr is a human being afflicted with shiny object syndrome as she often finds herself having too many interests.
One day she can be found gushing over spreadsheets and crunching numbers. The following day you can find her indulging her inner Picasso doing finger painting.
However, the one constant is that she loves to be in creator mode, particularly writing romance fiction that makes you scream, cry, and laugh at your phone.

G.S. Carr’s “The Cost of Hope,” asks what can a former slave with nothing to her name and suffering from amnesia ask from life.
Soleil the lead does not imagine ever living a grand life or even ever being happy. The only thing she desires is to have her daughter safe, but now that is looking impossible, forcing her to take matters into her own hands.
But she gets a curveball from life and finds herself in the arms of a gorgeous owner of a plantation who asserts that he is ready to love her.
Alexander Cummings is a man who never thought he would ever fall in love again. After his heart was broken into so many pieces, he threw himself into his work managing one of the largest plantations in Alabama that he owned.
However, life seems to have finally smiled on him as the woman he believed he would never have the opportunity of seeing again comes back into his life. But she has come back very different from who she was and with some dark secrets.
With society threatening and lives in danger of being lost, they can only get through the tough times by sticking together. But neither of them is going to come out of this unscathed, and they need to ask themselves if maybe the cost of love may be too high.

“The Cost of Atonement” by G.S. Carr tells the story of Virginia, a woman who wants to dedicate her life to the service of others, but her husband is being an encumbrance.
A year ago, one of her closest friends had been taken hostage and then had been sold into slavery. Since that time, she has dedicated herself to fighting slavery and to bringing change to America.
At some point, she gets an opportunity to become a Conductor, but only if she is married. This is something she had vowed she would never do, but she now has to give in.
Moreover, she thinks that she will always have an option of separation, even if the society that she lives in frowns upon it. But the more time she spends being married, the more she finds the thought of leaving appealing to her sensibilities.
As for Charles, he still remembers that moment he set his eyes on the feisty young woman who demanded a dance.
Afterward, she never wanted anything to do with him, but then she came back intending to use him and he realized he had an opportunity he needed to take advantage of.
In the midst of a country gripped by war, could two people living in a marriage of convenience find the forgiveness and grace needed for real love?

G.S. Carr’s novel “The Cost of Rebellion” tells the story of Hope Cummings, who is not interested in being a proper English lady, even though there is nothing her mother wants more.
Milling about London to visit high-born ladies and attend balls, does not have any appeal to hope. What she would prefer is to sail the majestic seas with her brother and father to go on fantastic adventures.
She is ready to do anything other than embark on the path that would make her a mother and wife. The answer to her wish comes earlier than she expected and in a very bizarre way.
As for Shaeen Almasi, he had arrived in London with only revenge on his mind but nothing had gone according to plan. Wounded and hoping to make it back to the ship, he got some help from a beautiful young woman.
He takes her prisoner but over time, she is starting to make him want things he is certain they can never get. As the Crown Prince of Zawhar, he had sworn to sacrifice everything for duty and country, and he just cannot throw it all away for love.
