Galaxy’s Edge
Galaxy’s Edge is a book series by Nick Cole and his co-writer Jason Anspach. An American ex-military man, Nick is also an actor who lives in Orange County, California; his literary influence is Ernest Hemingway, especially the latter’s 1952 book The Old Man and the Sea that inspired Nick’s first 2011 book The Old Man and the Wasteland. Nick’s genres are fantasy and science fiction.

Born in 1979, American novelist Jason Anspatch is a resident of Puyallup City, Washington. A human rights volunteer, Jason pursued Public Relations and History at the Pacific Lutheran University, from 1997 to 2002. He has a Masters of Divinity from Western Reformed Seminary, where he attended between 2007 and 2012. He worked as a youth director at a Bible school from 2008 to 2015, and a director at a trucking company from 2004 to 2019. Jason, who co-owns Galaxy’s Edge, LLC, has been writing since 2014; and his earliest publications include ‘til Death (July 2015).

Books in the Galaxy’s Edge Series
Forget Nothing is book 0.4 in the Galaxy’s Edge series. Dated June 4, 2020; Forget Nothing is set in an exoplanet; its protagonist is scientist Andien Broxin—also a military brat and republican military woman—whose elite space force is surrounded by enemies during an intergalactic war pitying Republic fighters against spatial guerrillas. A major, Andien must find a way of evading their deathtrap in the eye-opening faceoff.

Tin Man is book 0.5 in the Galaxy’s Edge series. Dated November 20, 2017; Tin Man’s protagonists are navy aviator Captain Reese and a warfare robot named H292. The heroic robot is assigned a combat search and rescue role in a wild exoplanet; the robot proves its morality and selflessness when it gives up its reserved seat to injured space force fighters during a medical evacuation spearheaded by Captain Reese.

Legionnaire is book one in the Galaxy’s Edge series. Dated June 12, 2017; Legionnaire is all about a space force unit called Victory Company, which has been waylaid by hostile forces while going to establish diplomatic ties with the tribal leader of Moona Village, Kublaren region, that is occupied by a superior alien civilization called the Ancients. The unit’s leader is a sergeant named Cohen Chhun whose superiors are operational officer Lieutenant Ford, and mission commander Major “Pappy” Hilbert; as the unit hopes for an unexpected rescue, Chhun urges on his decimated soldiers to do or die in the fight pitying them against ruthless guerillas, in a futuristic war dubbed Battle of Kublar.

Dated July 13, 2017; Galactic Outlaws is Galaxy’s Edge series’ second book. The protagonist is Tyrus Rechs, a former space force soldier and vigilante. There is also Prisma Maydoon, an underage main character, who is seeking the services of a bounty hunter to eliminate her father’s assassins. Thus, Prisma recruits Tyrus to carry out the retaliation. However, Prisma and Tyrus must be wary of another elderly bounty named Aeson Keel, a space force soldier once called Wraith, who wants to silence them.

Dated August 13, 2017; Kill Team is Galaxy’s Edge series’ third book. It is about a hit squad that comprises of the Victory Company’s remnants, including Sergeant Cohen and mercenary Aeson; the squad’s mandate is targeted killings of those that started the destructive, deadly Battle of Kublar. Undercover agents Mr. X and Tom are the squad’s go-betweens in a land where a ferocious alien civilization called Zhee may be a hindrance.

Dated September 14, 2017; Attack of Shadows is Galaxy’s Edge series’ fourth book. Goth Sullus unleashes a well-calculated attack against the unsuspecting Republic by inciting using its disgruntled ex-space force soldiers; however, Goth’s hindrances include Lieutenant Cohen and his team of the active space forces marines in this naval warfare of wits.

Dated January 15, 2018; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ book 4.5, Imperator, Goth Sullus is revealed as a self-imposed emperor on a galactic conquest. However, a failed attempt on his life by an inside man spells doom to his usage of mercenaries and loyal forces to not only conquer the galaxy but also star systems. Therefore, the millennia-old Goth fights them back using his natural and supernatural skills that he has acquired over the centuries.

Dated October 25, 2017; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ fifth book, Sword of the Legion, lieutenant-turned-captain Cohen Chhun teams up with Aeson Keel against the expansionist Goth, including halting inbound enemy battleships. There is a last-minute kidnapping of Aeston’s teammates during a top-secret mission to immobilize enemy battleships.

Dated December 19, 2017; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ sixth book, Prisoners of Darkness, Commander Ellek Owens—affiliated with the Republic—is unjustly imprisoned for his unproven role as the mole who facilitated Goth’s attack. This prompts the Captain Cohen-led Victory Company to stage a prison break to rescue his superior Ellek. Elsewhere, a rogue person called Cybar is intent on unleashing a systematic destruction of galactic life.

Dated February 23, 2018; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ seventh book, Turning Point, the space force soldiers are involved in a galactic war against those allied to the unruly aliens Zhee. The Captain Cohen-led faction gathers intelligence that may give them the upper hand against their major enemy Goth in the battle for galactic supremacy.

Dated April 25, 2018; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ eighth book, Message for the Dead, the rescued commander Ellek is fighting alongside Captain Cohen, army major Thales, navy captain Desiax, and the loyal hit squad against both Goth’s forces and the ruthless life-destroying battle bot called Cybar.s Ellek urges on the Republic-affiliated forces in the galactic war of aggression.

Dated October 29, 2018; in the Galaxy’s Edge series’ ninth book, Retribution, Captain Cohen teams up with Aeson and the hit squad in a last-minute effort to free the Republic from Goth’s dictatorship that eventually ends after Aeson kills him.
