His career as a newscaster seems to be on the rise. He also has a loving and beautiful wife in the form of Denise, and is also expected to become a father very soon. However, in a span of a few hours, Robert’s life takes twists & turns and his whole world is turned upside down. He becomes totally devastated after learning about the death of his newly born daughter. To make the matters worse for him, a strange and disfigured man steals the dead body of his daughter from the morgue. The following plot depicts that Robert Londrigan is about to start a journey full of nightmares, with unthinkable horror, mystery, and revelation. He is about to learn things related to his world and the secrets beyond from the living as well as the dead. It is also seen that even though the journey of Robert will be filled with terror, heartbreaks, and grotesque, he will not be permitted to stop in the middle. However, the people of the town seem rather unprepared for the what they are going to face next. Shocking murders begin to take place in the town of Cedar Hill, which grow more and more horrendous with the killing of each victim. The murders leave taunting clues that indicate a link to the past, as well as to an abandoned and an old graveyard. The book became highly successful all over the country.
