George Galdorisi is a career naval aviator who started his career in writing in the year 1978 with an article published in US Naval Institute Proceedings. His thirty years of active duty included five years as a chief of staff of a carrier strike group as well as four command tours. He spent three years leading America’s delegation for the military to military talks with China’s Navy.

He has written some books of Tom Clancy’s “Op-Center”, which he wrote with Dick Couch and Jeff Rovin. Galdorisi has also written the “Rick Holden” series. It was with his co-author Dick Couch and author Tom Clancy that he penned the novelization for the film “Act of Valor”.

“The Coronado Conspiracy” is the first novel in the “Rick Holden” series, which was released in the year 2017. USS Coronado (the Navy command ship) is off the shore of Costa Rica, and it launches an all out assault against one of the biggest and most powerful drug lords in all of Central America. The Blackhawks are airborne and armed, the strike force is right in position, and the U.S. Military’s high tech fist is ready to come down like a sledgehammer. Everything goes according to plan. Then, the quiet jungle erupts in shrapnel, fire, and blood.

Rick Holden (a CIA Operative) and Laura Peters (an officer with Naval Intelligence) start investigating the circumstances of the ambush. They find there is something more sinister at play than just a simple failed military operation. There is a conspiracy at the American government’s core. Bringing down the American President is just the first step.

George Galdorisi has written an enjoyable book that hooks you from the start, always making you wonder how the heroes will make it out by the end. This novel is going to be hard to put down, with all of the twists and turns to the story. The action is constant and the book has very few parts that get slow at all. Here is an author that some would not mind coming back to for future books.

“For Duty and Honor” is the second novel in the “Rick Holden” series, which was released in the year 2018. A cruel terrorist attack leaves close to seventy U.S. sailors dead, and all of the United States Navy hunts for answers.

In the Arabian Gulf’s volatile waters the USS Carl Vinson Strike Group (under Admiral Heater Robinson’s command) is standing ready to unleash a nuclear aircraft carrier’s full fury against some enemies of America. It starts to become clear the government has zero intention of punishing the killers. Robinson makes the call to take justice into his own hands, no matter what the cost is.

A terror storm hits the United States, and Rick Holden is facing a moral dilemma all his own. The military elite back in Washington has picked Holden to end the cycle of the madness. His orders include killing the strike group’s commander, who is Admiral Heater Robinson.

Some enjoyed this one for its well developed plot and how you get to see this story from multiple points of view. Galdorisi has written a book where both the characters and plot are believable, which can be hard to do, in this genre. Once again, readers cannot wait to see where this series goes, after this incredible read.

“Act of Valor” is the first stand alone novel, which was released in the year 2012. The rescue of a CIA operative who has been kidnapped leads to a deadly terrorist plot against America being found out. A team of SEALs is dispatched, as a result, on a global manhunt. The men of the Bandito Platoon race to thwart a coordinated attack that might wound and kill thousands of American civilians. All the while, they have to balance their commitments to their families at home, their Team, and country.

Each time they accomplish a mission, new intelligence gives them another shocking twist in the plot, which already stretches from the Ukraine to Somalia and Chechnya to the Philippines. This ever expanding operation sends these SEALs all over the globe while they track a ring of terrorists to the United States-Mexico border. It is here they get into a pretty epic firefight with some possibly unimaginable consequences for the United States.

“Out of the Ashes” is the thirteenth novel in the “Op Center” series, which was released in the year 2014. Before September eleventh America was protected by the National Crisis Management Center, a covert force. It is commonly called Op-Center, this secret and silent mantel once guarded the people of America and kept the country safe from enemies.

Director Paul Hood reported right to the president and the charter was absolutely top secret. Op-Center used undercover operatives who had SWAT capabilities to go around the world and diffuse crises. After the disaster at the World Trade Center, the Op Center was dismantled, and left America terribly exposed and in danger.

Terrorists detonate bombs in sports arenas all over the country, and it leaves kids, women, and men mutilated or deceased. The President executes an order to revive Op-Center, one that is capable of dealing with high tech crises occurring in the twenty-first century. There is something lethal brewing in the Middle East.

Some renegade Saudi Prince who wants to control the oil supply for the entire world. Besides these ambitions, he has a rather ingenious plot to make America attack Syria and start a war against Iran. They would ignite a sleeper cell to attack America on its own soil, it would be a bloodbath never seen before. Only Op-Center, using some rather sophisticated tech, realize what is close to being unleashed. They too have the courage to issue a warning that nobody wants to hear. Is anyone going to believe what they have to say, though?

From the first page until the end, this was a compelling, well written, and believable story. The book is easy to follow, and there are no problems with any of the foreign names that some of the others can have.
