George Wier discovered his passion for writing back in his formative years at an extremely tender age. This means by the year 1980 he was writing in earnest and took it as a career in 1986. Being an individual with numerous ideas, he went on to become choosy and write what he enjoyed reading and this largely impressed his enthusiasts. Having been born in Texas, USA he went on to spend most of his child hood and adult life in there. Now currently living in Austin, George Wier is married to Sallie and together they have two cats and two dogs under their care.

George Wier has other passions that include playing classical music especially the violin and the country fiddle. He also has a taste for art specifically so drawing, painting and photography. He has stayed true to his number one passion and in the year 2012 he wowed his fans by introducing a new series of books entitled; The Bill Travis Mystery series that by far took his writing career to another level. With the series one is assured of escapade, action and science fiction that keeps one glued to his books due to the utter suspense and adventure it provides.

1889: Journey To The Moon (2014)

Based on a science fiction thought, the journey to the moon is about the journey of eleven individuals to the moon. With an unlikely crew, the trip just gets interesting with the fact that they realize that there are aliens on the moon with ill intentions. The crew has an unlikely member; jack the ripper and with him around, aliens and robots, the possibility of getting home alive just reduced drastically

After The Fire (2014)

After occurrence of a mysterious fire, things turn for the worse and complicated by every passing second. After the fire focuses on a journey of unearthing secrets especially regarding a dead goat. With neighbors and other town members having a grudge for years, it seems that the cause of the animal’s demise would not be investigated. This is especially made harder by Bill Travis and his daughter Jessica. Nonetheless, questions arise to course of either a toxic poison or radioactive waste.

Arrowmoon (2012)

The Bill Travis Mysteries series Book offers another fiction, adventure and action novel. Arrow moon dwells on the lives of Bill Travis and Lief Prescott whose lives are in danger as they are being targeted by snipers. Interestingly, they uncover an old barn that has an old save, a leather journal with information and a loaded pistol that could inevitably tend their lives. With the information, they delve in old century secrets trying to figure out the cause of the secrets fights and why it affects the completion of a major Texas highway in the town.

Caddo Cold (2012)

Bill Travis finds himself in big trouble again after accepting to work for Holt Gatlin. However in the course of his work he gets to uncover secrets on the main cause of a fifty year old military plane that makes him and anyone with fore knowledge involved a target. Things get tricky and seemingly someone somewhere wants to put a stop to Bill Travis efforts for good. At the end the suspicion turns back to his client, Holt Gatlin. Is he the solution to mankind’s entire problem or the source of problems?

Slow Falling (2012)

Bill Travis gets himself in the middle of government business and secret nuclear scientists and regulators. After an old man covered in dust raises questions right before he falls down dead, Bill Travis believes that there is more to it than a homeless street man death. He is to work against time to ensure that if there is indeed a falling, he uncovers it before it is swept under the carpet and dooms them all.

Death On The Pedernales (2012)

The fifth installment of the Bill Travis mysteries takes a different road all together. Bill Edgar finds himself investigating the murder of Edgar Bristow, a millionaire and a veteran war hero. In small town that everyone knows everyone’s business, he is having a hard time coming up with a suspect list as it can be anyone. Left with no choice but to turn over every stone, he puts his life in danger and inevitably races against time as he has an assailant to apprehend before he strikes again.

The Devil To Pay (2012)

Bill Travis mixes his personal life and his business when he gets help from his daughter in the Devil to pay, Bill Travis mysteries series. In the event that everything seems suspicious, the death of the Texas rangers museum curator gets interesting especially so when the lead suspect is a veteran. Uncovering the truth means going years back and studying of an old arson case and finding leads from there. Things get really creepy when satanic worship is added in the mix. With all questions and no answers, Bill tries to keep himself focused when everyone else seems wildly paranoid with every event that unfolds.

Longnecks & Twisted Hearts (2012)

Personal vengeance takes priority and almost overrides Bill Travis Judgment when he gets word that his best friend had been murdered. His business gets complicated with the inclusion of a seventeenth century French ship and east Texas. Travelling to his home town, Bill is forced to face his old ghosts and individuals he would prefer for them to be dead.

Capitol Offense (2011)

Bill gets to act detective in this part of the Bill Travis mysteries series. What was supposed to be ordinary procedures turned out to be a different thing all together. Having been given the task to ensure that a death row inmate, Norman Howell signs some trust account documentation, Bill makes the mistake of making small talk. He is told an explosive secret that will inevitably take down none other than the governor of Texas.

In The Radio (2011)

Being one of the oldest novels written by George Wier, this novel is totally different and brings to the fore front the power of a mother’s love. After falling in the Hickman’s well, Bobby Armbruster’s mother has been begging for his son’s life. Interestingly what they thought would be their doom ends up being the greatest destiny discover, more than the two would have ever imagined in their life time.
