Georgia Bockoven is a reputed novelist from the United States, who is well known for writing contemporary, romance, and fiction novels. She has written some wonderful stories in her career and has sold millions of copies of her books all over the world. Author Bockoven is particularly famous for writing the Love Songs series and the Beach House series. The former is a new series being developed by her and is just 2 books old, while the latter is the one for which Bockoven is highly popular. This series helped her establish herself among the top-rated writers of romance stories. Before starting her career in the writing field, author Bockoven used to work in the field of journalism. She used to work on a freelance basis as a photojournalist and had quite a successful career in it. But, her interests started to shift once she developed the liking for fiction stories. At first, Bockoven became an avid reader of romance books and then started developing her own stories. It did not take her much time to begin writing fiction stories of her own.

As a result of her newly acquired taste in writing, Bockoven had to leave her job in journalism and put all her focus into developing her new career as a writer. Author Bockoven says that being the child of an Army personnel, she was quite disciplined from her childhood days in all respects. This helped her in becoming a confident and independent person that she is today. Author Bockoven began publishing her stories from 1983 onwards and during the course of her career, she won many prestigious awards, prizes, and nominations. Bockoven’s books have sold over 4 million printed copies altogether throughout the world. One of her romance books ‘A Marriage of Convenience’ was adapted into a CBS film in 1998 that starred James Brolin and Jane Seymour in the lead roles. As of today, author Bockoven is happily married and resides with her loving husband named John Bockoven and two beautiful children in Northern California. John was employed as a fire fighter, and after he retired from his job Bockoven took the decision of putting a temporary halt to her writing work. She decided to spend her free time in the company of her family and enjoy some quality time together. During the course of her holiday period, Bockoven found a new love for nature photography. She explored this new interest and ended up making a business out of it. Author Bockoven thinks that the business of nature photography is filled with a lot of creative energy and at the same time it is highly challenging as well. But, Bockoven is well prepared for any number of challenges that life throws at her. She believes she has endured a lot during her initial struggling days, which has made her mentally strong to face any situation.

Author Bockoven is very much grateful to the art of writing as it helped her turn into a strong woman and difficult responsibilities on her shoulders. She is also very much thankful to her fans and supporters, who were always her side praising and motivating her with each passing day. Currently, Bockoven is planning to make a comeback to writing and publish a new romance novel. She has even started working on a story, and is all set to develop it into an interesting story that she believes the readers will like just the way they have liked all her earlier books.

The Beach House series written by author Georgia Bockoven is comprised of a total of 4 novels and 1 novella, which were released between the years 1997 and 2017. After publishing the second book in 2001 Bockoven came up with the third novel after a gap of 12 years. The debut book of this romance series is entitled ‘Beach House’. It was released by HarperTorch in the year 1997. The book features the chief characters in the form of Julia, Chris, Joe, Maggie, Peter, and a few others as well. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Julia is a 30 year old woman, who owns a beach house in Santa Cruz. The place is like a heaven with its peacefulness and serenity. It is a place Julia and her husband used to visit very often in order to escape from the problems of their everyday lives.

This beach house goes on to transform the lives of three families, who rent the place one after the other following the death of Julia’s husband. When Julia tries to sell the house, she does not find any buyers. So, she chooses to rent it. Firstly, Chris is the new tenant, who experiences the bittersweet joy of his first love in the house. Joe and Maggie come to live there next. Married for 65 years, they are on the verge of separating and the house helps them take the decision courageously. Later, Peter gets the woman of his life after he starts living in that very house. Finally, when Julia comes back to live in her own beach house, she discovers the inner strength to help build her life again, something she never thought would ever be possible.

Another exciting book of this successful series is called ‘Another Summer’. It was also released by HarperTorch in 2001. In this book, author Bockoven has continued to depict the lives of people coming to live in Julia’s beach house. This secluded cottage is located on the edge of the Pacifc and is like a haven for the ones who seek refuge from the tempests of life. The summer season brings in tenants, who all are quite different from one another, yet they all seem to be searching for some important thing.

At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that the first tenant of the cottage is a young mother, who is in despair and guilt over one tragic death. Another tenant is a successful and beautiful lawyer, who denies the passion she has always desired but never known. Finally, the last tenants are a woman and a man, who had been separated 20 years back, but could not prevent themselves from loving each other still. The cottage is the place where all these people bring their broken hearts, their pains, their dreams, and their courage. And neither of them seem to be aware that the place is going to help them make their dreams come true during the magical summer.

Fell in love with “Another Summer”. Is there a follow up book? What happened with Deanna, Marie and Karen?
