Ginny Dye is an American author of fiction. She has also written books under the pen name Virginia Gaffney. She was born in North Carolina and has lived all over the U.S., describing herself as a wanderer at heart. Dye says that she would love to get to know all of her readers, but is happy to share a bit about herself with them and connect with readers on her website.
Ginny Dye says that she has explored every state in the U.S. and has worked and had adventures all along the way. In addition to managing horse ranches located in Oregon and Texas, Dye has worked with teens all over the country and enjoyed biking, hiking, rafting and playing in every single possible location and state that she could, exploring woods, beaches, deserts, mountains and more as destinations or simply as part of the journey.
Dye loved many of the places that she went to and traveled through but found her true home when she traveled to Washington state. She loves the waters of the Pacific, the mountains, the animals of the area that include majestic Orca whales and soaring eagles, the beautiful fir trees that nestle around her home, and the opportunity to explore nature and go hiking on miles of trails in the area.
Dye says that she finds inspiration everywhere she looks and that it motivates her to be her best and follow and achieve her dreams! With over a dozen novels published in many different genres, she says that she likes writing in all of them but historical fiction is her favorite to write. She says she will never live long enough to write everything that she has to write, but she is going to do her best to try.
Dye also has a charitable side as she has created the Millions for Positive Change organization. This organization is dedicated to creating a community of people globally that have the passion to live their best life and make a difference. They can do this using free resources provided through the foundation as well.
Dye says that she thinks that her life will forever be a journey and she will never get to the point where she has arrived, admitting that the more that she learns the more that she finds out about what she does not know. Still, she says that she enjoys receiving and sharing in joy by sharing the light that she has with others and working with others to make a difference and be forces for positive change in the world.
She is the author of many series and novels, including the Bregdan Chronicles. This fictional series deals with the adventures of a young girl coming of age during the Civil War and falls within the historical fiction genre. There are a dozen books in the series and if demand keeps up, there may be some more!
Ginny Dye has also penned a number of nonfiction books about various subjects, including supporting the troops and network marketing. Dye has also collaborated with illustrator Barbara Pollard on a children’s picture book series. They are part of the ‘When I Dream’ series, and includes books that focus on dreaming on puppies, kittens, snow, oceans, and more.
Ginny Dye is also the author of the Pepper Crest High series. The Pepper Crest High series is fiction designed for young adults and follows teenager Kelly as she navigates a series of life changes that start with her father deciding to get remarried. Kelly tries to get along with her new stepmom Peggy, but it’s more difficult than you would think. The third book is called A Lost & Found Friend and features main character Greg as he tries to help his friend Brent out. The fourth book features main character Julie as she deals with a crisis of faith in the final book in the series, Time for a Change of Heart.
The debut novel in this series is called Dream Dragon and it was released in 2012, followed by the sequel Born to Fly. This whimsical series focuses on the main character of Darcy the Dream Dragon as she helps realize her dreams. The series is meant for children and pre-teens, but anyone can read this fun series straight from the imagination Ginny Dye. The popular line of books has four books in total that make up the series. The third and fourth books are titled Little Heart and The Miracle of Chinese Bamboo.
Dream Dragon is the first novel in the Fly to Your Dreams series. A Dream Dragon tells us that everyone in the world that is born has their very own dream dragon. This story will awaken you and your children to the dreams that we all have and give you the boost and belief to go after your dreams!
