Greg Farshtey is a published author known for authoring books and comics and writing about video games.

He is perhaps most recognized for working on the Bionicle chapter books as well as Level 3 readers and its comic book series. He is the writer of the television series “LEGO Bionicle Online Animations” as well as “Bionicle: The Legend Reborn: Metus’ Revenge” and “Bionicle: The Legend Reborn” as well as video game “Bionicle: Maze of Shadows”. He also authored the 2005 television miniseries “The Search for the Mask of Light”.

Greg was born in Mount Kisco in the United States on July 14, 1965. He is a writer and has served as the head writer and the Editor in Chief for the LEGO Club Magazine as well as the LEGO BrickMaster Magazine.

He has been interested in writing ever since he was young, and started in earnest when he was in the fourth grade. Greg would attend the State University of New York at Geneseo, graduating with a degree in communications. He would work in different jobs as a sports editor, a reporter, a game designer, a copywriter, and an editor.

Greg would work full time at the LEGO Company beginning in 2000. He would also eventually work writing for BIONICLE. Prior to this, Greg also composed game material for all types of franchises from Indiana Jones to Star Wars and Tales From the Crypt. He has written several books as well as guidebooks, and has composed over 35 game adventures and source books, either on his own or with a co-author.

Greg Farshtey resides in the state of Connecticut in West Hartford.
