Every time that Christmas rolls around, Lizzie closes her eyes and makes the same wish she always does. She hopes that her sisters out there are safe and are doing well. She has no idea where they are but does her best to try and pray that they are alright.

When someone from her past comes back, Lizzie finds that her happiness quickly dims. Now she is alone on the streets once more and having to survive. She has no one on her side except for Adam, the only friend she has. He gives her a solution but a selfish act makes her life unravel and she is once again poor and on the streets, forced to survive.

Adam finds out what has happened to Lizzie but once he does, he has to make a decision between choosing his livelihood or Lizzie. Adam has to find a way that he can right a wrong while Lizzie wonders whether this will always be her fate.

There he generally keeps an eye out for her. Sarah feels that her heart is opening up to this person but she also has her walls up and doesn’t entirely trust his friendship, holding him at arm’s length. Sarah and Bobby get separated as they are living at the behest of Manchester’s underworld King.

Then a surprising truth comes out and Sarah ends up hearing a revelation that startles her. Now she knows that she is going to have to take on the streets of Liverpool once more. She is scared for her life and comes up with a plan with Harry, but then her presence in the city is detected.

The result is a fatal battle where Sarah’s husband ends up getting killed. Harry has come up with another plan that will make sure that she is safe and take her far away from this place. It may be a good plan but it also comes with consequences as it will kill his hopes for love and maybe even Sarah’s chance at finding her son.
