H. Peter Alesso is a bestselling author and scientist that specializes in technology innovation. He has more than two decades of experience as a researcher at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

At the laboratory, he led a team of engineers and computer scientists that developed some brilliant applications across a wide range of networks, workstations, and supercomputers.

Alesso got his bachelor of science degree from the United States Naval Academy. Thereafter, he worked on nuclear submarines in the United States Navy before he went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he got his advanced Engineering degree.

Unlike many authors, his first love was numbers, which he was infatuated with. He ultimately discovered that he could use words to share experiences and elucidate ideas. He found that science fiction provided a way of showcasing his imaginative adventures.
Growing up, he loved reading stories such as the “Hornblower” series by C.S. Forester and “The Lost Fleet” by Jack Campbell. It was while he was working as a researcher and reading a lot in his free time that he began thinking of becoming an author.

At some point, he had learned that the curiosity of researchers in many fields had been sparked by the speculation that is to be found in science fiction novels. In that regard, he set out to pen stories that were founded on hard scientific principles.
His works usually include a lot of research into hard scientific principles. He usually researches the various technologies and how they work and tries to predict how they will develop in the coming centuries.

For instance, genetic engineering has become one of the most important social topics and humanity may have to face some difficult choices in the coming years.

While he never started out wanting to become an author, the fact that he read many books over the years means that he is to some extent influenced by other authors.

Aside from his experiences in the Naval Academy and working on a submarine in the U.S. Navy, he has been influenced by authors such as Robert Heinlein who is his favorite science fiction author.

Peter Alesso has said that he loves how Heinlein’s works span the range from laughter to rage. Just like his favorite author, Alesso also makes use of romance and humor as intrinsic elements of the human spirit.

Once he published his debut novel, he became obsessed with writing and now averages a novel every year. The author now has more than a dozen novels to his name across three series, several single-standing novels, and novellas that have all been very successful.

“Midshipman Henry Gallant in Space,” tells the story of Henry Gallant, a Midshipman. He is Squadron 111’s last starfighter who is making his way from Jupiter to a base in orbit around Mars as this is the nearest station.

The United Earth fleet is about to be annihilated by alien ships and hence he cannot expect any help from them. If he is to reach Mars, Gallant needs to make his way through threatening aliens and the asteroid belt.

There is a lot of uncertainty about alien intentions and capabilities and he urgently needs to analyze the captured computer equipment. The fate of the Earth may depend on Henry Gallant the Midshipman who has to dig deep to find some solutions.
Unfortunately, his abilities and skills have been in doubt and have not been tested. In an era when genetic engineering has become the norm, he happens to be the only none genetically modified officer in the fleet.

His superior officers and classmates had expressed concern that he may not have what it takes to work in space. The only person who believes he may be up to it is Kelsey Mitchell an attractive and bright junior officer that has shown him a lot of sympathies.
She is his astrogator on Squadron 111’s last fighter and her life as well as those of those that doubted him lie in his hands.

“Lieutenant Henry Gallant” is the second novel of “The Henry Gallant” series of novels by H. Peter Alesso. Our protagonist has for the longest time been the only natural officer in a fleet made up almost fully of genetically modified humans.
While his superior officers had always been doubtful about his abilities, he has proved them wrong. He makes use of his mental abilities to defend the United Planets as they face off against invaders from Titan.

Gallant is currently serving on the “Intrepid,” the first FTL prototype as it is heading to Tau Ceti on its maiden voyage. It is on that voyage that he stumbles upon a lost human colony while he was exploring a strange planet named Elysium.
Cyrus Wolfe is the leader of the planet who made allies with ancient Artificial Intelligence native to the planet. The AI which had been dormant for thousands of years had agreed to protect the colonists from their bitter enemies in the Titans.
Gallant approaches Alaina Hepburn who leads the democratic opposition and they become allies. Working with Alaina, he learns that the ancient AI is not benevolent as it first seemed.

He will not need to match the intelligence of the AI if he is to prevent humanity’s extermination and escape the ultimate trap.

H. Peter Alesso’s novel “Henry Gallant and the Warrior” is a work set in the 22nd century. Humans from the Solar System have come together to fight an alien invasion but so far they are being beaten badly.

Henry Gallant is the only non-genetically engineered officer in the fleet commissioned by the United Solar System. He has unique mental capabilities which would prove critical while defending against invaders from Titan.

Nonetheless, his superiors have yet to believe in him since he has stepped on powerful toes as he loves to speak truth to power. In spite of his shortcomings, he has been granted leadership of the most advanced warship nicknamed “The Warrior.”
He has been ordered by the Solar System coalition to head to the main base of the aliens to disrupt, intrigue, and spy on their war capacity.

His mission results in painful choices and risky battles, but no choice is more intimate or personal than the choice to stare his death in the face.

He is in a hopeless situation as a flawed young man who has to go against terrible odds and the only saving grace is that he is possessed of immense courage.
