Hannah Lynn is a bestselling humor and comedy, contemporary, and fiction author best known for the “Peas and Carrots” series of novels.

The author was born in Cotswolds in 1984 in the United Kingdom and after her graduation from university, she spent a decade teaching physics in the United Kingdom and then in Asia.

It was at this time that she found inspiration from the many young adults in her classes to start writing short stories before she moved into adult fiction writing.

For her work, she has won several awards including the san IPPY Award for best adult fiction and a Kindle Storyteller Award in 2018.

Even though she can write between many genres, she has made a reputation for writing works with vivid and wonderful descriptions and character-driven stories.
Lynn currently makes her home in the Australian Alps and works as a mother, wife, and writer.

Like many of her contemporaries, Hannah Lynn was quite the reader as a child. She still remembers how she used to scramble for the suggested reading lists from her teachers and read as many of the titles as she could.

Lynn would then move on to binge-read all manner of authors and still does so. In her college years, she stopped reading for pleasure and it was a few years before she got back to reading.

Fortunately, she met an English teacher that was a teacher of English and they would bond over their passion for books. She came to believe and still does believe that she gets to learn a new thing from every reader that she reads.

Nonetheless, while Hannah Lynn is quite the reader, for the most part, she is not influenced by what she reads but rather writes for herself. Still, she always tries to adjust her writing whenever she finds elements in another writer that she likes.

The author made her debut when she wrote the speculative, dark, and dystopian fiction novel “Amendments” in 2015. She has since gone on to write more than twenty works across several series and has shown no signs of slowing down.

As for her writing career, Hannah Lynn has asserted that writing novels was something that she always wanted to do.

In her teenage and college years, she used to write short stories for children, even though these were never longer than a few chapters.

As she approached her twenties, she met many people with the dream of becoming authors and this was the time she had the idea for writing her debut novel “Amendments.”
She made the decision to be a person that did things rather than a person that thought about doing things.

During this time, she was living in Asia and the thought of submitting her work to agents in different countries was not something she was keen to do.
As such, she decided to self-publish given that she also liked the freedom of writing her stories without supervision. “Amendments” her debut novel would be entered into the 2018 Storyteller Awards and went on to win.

While she has found a lot of success, she still works a day job teaching high school physics. She does most of her writing and marketing of her novels in the evenings and on the weekends alongside her very supportive husband.

Hannah Lynn’s novel “Athena’s Child” is a retelling of the Medusa story. Medusa is a woman burdened and gifted with exquisite beauty who is seeking sanctuary with Athena the goddess.

But when Poseidon trains her lustful eyes on her, there is nothing any goddess can do for her. Young Perseus goes on what seems a fool’s quest.
With only determination and bravado, the only chance of success is if he can get the support of his immortal siblings. Perseus and Medusa soon find themselves pawns of selfish and spiteful gods.

Having to face up to Athena’s wrath, Medusa is forced to run away and hide. But will she be able to keep herself safe without turning into the horrible monster everybody believes she is?

It is a beautiful story that attempts to tell the story of Medusa from her perspective. It makes for one of the most brilliant retellings as Lynn does a great job bringing new life to Medusa’s story.

“A Spartan’s Sorrow” by Hannah Lynn is another brilliant retelling of Clytemnhestra’s story. She has just been ordered by her husband to bring Iphigenia her eldest daughter to him so that she can get married.

But what she does not know is that the husband intends to sacrifice the child to the gods. Ultimately, she realizes what her husband did and protects that she will never let any of her remaining children fall to a similar fate.

This turns out to be the beginning and things turn interesting as she soon has to protect her family. Following the families, we get to read about them as they experience happiness and all manner of troubles.

It is a tale of revenge, sorrow, and a mother’s love for her children that never wavers. Written from the perspective of Clytaemnestra, the author into account her struggle to maintain her sanity and the safety of her children.

She has to do this as queen of Sparta in a world dominated by men, which only makes her work even harder.

Hannah Lynn’s novel “Queens of Themiscyra” is set in the ancient world of Themiscyra. The lead and Queen of the Amazons is Hippolyte, a woman whose skills on the battlefield have earned her a reputation all over Greece.

But then a ship lands on their land bringing something worse than war. Sent to Athens, Hippolyte gets to experience a love that is greater than the bond she shared with her Amazon sisters.

Will she be able to forget the life she lived as a warrior and live she never had before? On the other hand, Penthesilea has no choice but to take charge as the new Queen of the warrior Amazon women once her sister leaves.

She is a ferocious warrior who spreads terror throughout the Aegean isles. Unlike her sister, she rules with might and impulsiveness rather than the wisdom and compassion of her sister.

As such, when Hippolyte’s world starts to come apart, it is up to her sister to try to defend her honor.

It is a compelling story that will delight the heart and mind with rich adventures that is as captivating as it is entertaining.
