Hannah Richell is a published author who is known for writing her debut fictional novel, Secrets of the Tides. She has since gone on to write more stories.
Hannah was writing her debut around the time in her life that her first child came into the world. She has had her work enjoy success and it has been translated into over a dozen languages and it is available in multiple territories.
Hannah has had her books selected to be part of the Waterstones Book Club, the Richard & Judy Book Club, the WHSmith Book of the Week, and made the shortlist to win two ABIAs as well as an Indie Book Award in Australia. It also made the short list for the Bonniers Bokklubb Book of the Year Award in Sweden.
Each of the books that she writes is a stand alone, but they are also connected in a way. This is thanks to Richell’s fascination with secrets and families. She has a deep desire to go further below the surface, looking into the human experience in a deeper way, to be weighted down with grief and loss echoes, the resilience and the light that can be discovered in places least expected, and Richell’s goal to tell the reader a great story that will have them awake and keeping the page turned well into the night.
The author likes writing pieces of nonfiction as well as fiction and has done so for different media outlets in Australia and the United Kingdom. She serves as a judge for the Richell Prize, an annual prize that was established in memory of the author’s late husband Matt Richell. It was first established in 2014 by the Emerging Writers’ Festival and Hachette.
Hannah is a dual citizen, residing in the United Kingdom and Australia. She currently resides in the South West of England along with her family. She says that she got her love for writing from her parents, who took the time to read to Hannah and her siblings when they were young and would always go to the local library and bookshop.
Hannah has grounded her career ever since university in telling stories. This first happened in book publishing in places like London and Sydney, and then later she would work in Australia for a film distributor.
Today she shares her home happily along with her partner, her children, her step-children, her fluffy cat, and a Cocker Spaniel who might just be crazy. She enjoys hearing from the readers and can be contacted through her social media or through a contact page on her home website.

This is a locked-room mystery tale about a glamorous camping trip that goes wrong. When a huge storm leaves the participants of this trip stranded, they must suddenly deal with secrets that have been held for a long time as well as a disappearance that will end up surprising them all.
Annie and Max Kingsley have decided that they’re going to leave the rat race of London behind. They’re taking their 12 year old son along with them so that they can set up a camping site (or ‘glamping’, as they call it) in the Cornwall wilds.
They want to take a dry run before they open things, so they decided to invite out some old friends from university as well as their families for the season. All of the festivities quickly go wrong and tensions start brewing between the kids and then their parents. From there, more secrets start becoming apparent. A storm quickly moves in, resulting in them getting completely cut off from help. Then things start to get alarming as someone from their group goes missing.
Moving between a terrible weekend, a hospital room, and a police investigation, this is an incredible destination thriller that will keep you up late into the night reading and turning the pages to see what happens next!
One Dark Night is another thriller from Hannah Richell. If you have read her stuff before and want to find out more, check this story out and see what you think.
Just one night spent in the woods, a party that has gone completely wrong, and a body that is found at sunrise. He had decided to murder her on their wedding day, at the folly, leaving her behind for the birds to enjoy. Legend has it that now a girl clad in a white dress moves through the woods, haunting the area.
Thorncombe is a small town, the type of place where everyone knows about the story about the haunted woods. That is the place where the birds refuse to sing and a girl dressed in a white dress makes her way about the place, pulling people in to their deaths.
Then a girl in white is discovered dead in the morning after the Halloween holiday. Her body has been arranged at the bottom of a folly of old stone. Everyone in the community is in an absolute state of shock.
Ben Chase is a police detective and his own teen daughter is engaged in her studies at a local private school. The girl may be dealing with a horrible party prank that had gone terribly wrong, or it might be something a little more calculated than that.
The investigation starts coming along and the noose is getting tighter around Chase’s family. No one is sure of anything, but one thing is for certain, and that is that no one will ever be safe until the killer is tracked down and finally caught.
This is a thriller both clever and tense, the type of story where people are not who they appear to be and there is danger lying just out of eye’s view. Read this book to find out what happens!
