Harper Lin is American New York bestselling novelist of the popular The Emma Wild Holiday Mysteries, the Patisserie, the Cape Bay Café mysteries and Wonder Cat mysteries. She loves hiking, doing Yoga classes and spending time with her friends and family.

Harper Lin has written five different novel series. Patisserie Mystery series consist of nine books. The first book in the series is Macaroni Murder published in 2014. The second book in the series Éclair murder was released in 2014. The second series World Cats Mystery consist of five novels, the first A Hiss-tory of Magic publication was done in 2014. The second novel, Pawsitively Spell was published in 2015.

Emma Wild Mystery consists of 4 books, and the first Killer Christmas publication was done in 2014 while the second one New Year’s Slay was released the same years as the first one. Cape Bay Café Mystery consists of four novels while Pink Cupcake Mysteries two novels Sweets and a stabbing and A Deadly Bridal Shower both published in 2016.

Description of early books

Macaron Murder- Clemence Damour French native returns home to take over the family Patisserie business known for its delicious pastries and sweet not only in Paris but worldwide. To establish a close relation with the Gardienne, caretaker of her apartment, she gives her a box of macarons. The following morning Gardienne body is found, and next to it is a box of half-eaten macarons. However, an incompetent police inspector accuses Clemence of being a murderer, and this prompts her to clear her name of the accusations and decides to solve the case herself.

Macaron murder not only is a mystery novel, but Jessica Beck or Joanne Fluke fills it with delicious recipes of desserts and pastries.

A Hiss-tory of magic- Catherine Greenstone lives in wonder falls together with her cousin and her aunt, Astrid. The local town is located near mystery Niagra Falls. The trio runs the Brew-Ha-Ha Café, in addition, they are witches hiding in plain sight together with their Marshmallow, magical cats, peanut and treacle. One day a Brew-Ha-Ha cook is burnt to death alongside with their family café. Also, a very powerful charm book has been heisted from its hideout location in the restaurant. Now this could only mean one thing; it could only mean one thing, the destruction of not only Falls but the entire world.

Now the trio, Cath, Astrid and Bea must use their witch techniques and power to help uncover the whole truth as well as to help save the wonder falls and the entire world. With Cath being able to communicate with their cats which are magically inclined, the cats must also assist in the mission of uncovering a secret lurking in wonder falls.

Sweets and a stabbing- Amelia Harley decides to sell homemade cupcakes after having a messy divorce; she also takes back her maiden name. Her two teenage kids help her in picking out the name and coloring the truck; they also help her in using the social media in marketing her cupcakes as well.

However, things turn sour when a man is found brutally murdered in the dining area. This leads to the arrest of a young man from the Burrito food truck adjacent to Amelia food truck. The arrested lad name is Mathew; he is described as being huge and a former gang member who chose to lead normal life. However, Amelia believes that the police might have arrested the wrong guy and she also believes that Mathew is innocent. She must undertake whatever is necessary to ensure that justice is served and also make her food truck business success and make her two children proud.

A deadly bridal shower- is the second novella of The Pink Cupcake mysteries by Harper Lin. During a police officer bridal ceremony, Amelia lands on her first catering job in conjunction with a restaurant named Twisted Spoke. However, things take a suddenly twisted turn when Dana, a waitress is found dead in the restroom. However, it was difficult to narrow down the possible murder suspects, the reason being that the waitress, Dana has had many boyfriends and stolen many husbands as well. Also, the slain bartender has had a history of making enemies wherever she goes.

The main protagonist in the novella, however, have a different opinion on who possible suspects of the killing. They only possible clue they have is that any of the police officers present at the wedding ceremony could have been involved in the brutal murder, or the recently dumped girlfriend who boyfriend Dana stole or maybe a jealous and angry coworker. To them, practically everyone is a suspect unless proven innocent through investigation. So will Amelia leave her only first job and indulge herself in solving another murder case?

The Death of a Snowman- this is the third book in Holiday Mystery Series. Emma is asked by the Mayor of Hartfield to perform during the annual snowman festival. During this festival, there are many fun activities to keep the local townspeople entertained and free from the winter blues. However sooner Emma must task herself with detective responsibility when the town mayor two children are kidnapped. The only clue that the kidnappers left is a ransom note written on a paper that contains some lines of a poem from a poet named Harold Winken. She is also sure that she saw the mayor’s two children speaking to a mysterious man when she was performing on the stage. Who could this man be? Could he be the kidnapper? To assist in the investigation, Emma asks for help from Detective Sterling Mathews, who has a new partner Sandra who disapproves Emma in almost all circumstances. The only option left for Emma is to solve the case on her own. Will Emma be able to address the case of kidnap on her own and prove that she is far more than just a beautiful face and a nuisance?

Harper Lin is one unique author with her style of writing that ensures that the attention of the readers of her novellas is maintained throughout from the first chapter to the last.
