Heather Atkinson is a United Kingdom author.
Heather is a prolific author. She kicked her career off in 2012 with the publication of her stand alone novel Listen for the Rain and The A-List: Shadow Lives, the first in her Hollywood Vampire series. She would soon follow these up with more stand alone novels as well as series.
The author resides in Scotland in North Ayrshire, on its west coast. Heather originally lived in Lancashire, somewhere north of England. She currently shares her home in Scotland with her spouse, their twins, and their cat Mavis. She has a taste for anything that’s eclectic, and admits that this proclivity also applies to her writing. She likes to write crime novels and gangland thrillers, but also has an interest in writing stories in different genres such as fantasy, historical romance, and paranormal.
Heather publishes her work through Amazon Kindle and has many of her novels available to read in physical format and paperbacks. She has published independently but also has signed a publishing contract to write her Glasgow-set Gallowburn series of novels with Boldwood Books. She is frequently found doing many things and even sits down once in a while to write. She likes reading everything from Poe to Agatha Christie and Assassin’s Creed books, as well as spending quality time with her loved ones and exercising and going for walks.

The A-List: Shadow Lives is the first novel in the Hollywood Vampire series by Heather Atkinson. This series features the main character of Eva Gallo, an actress that is certainly A-list and known by what sometimes seems like just about everybody. She’s renowned the world over for her talent, her films, and her beautiful looks. But the last thing that anyone knows about her is her deepest, darkest secret.
Only Eva knows the truth: that she is in fact a vampire of great power. She was turned long ago and didn’t want to become a vampire, but you can’t change the past. However, her world is about to shift with one simple act. She’s married now, but turns white with rage when she discovers that her husband is dead. The killer is Alex, the vampire who is her maker and who also happens to be a bit psychotic. Eva will now do anything to get her revenge and make sure that he pays for killing her husband.
Eva goes to Los Angeles to try and track him. But the hunt is difficult, and it’s often tougher than she would think to track him down. She continues looking for him, but soon realizes that she’s also be hunted as well. The Hoplites came from the Spartans and serve as vampire slayers, using the tactics and the chosen weapons of their ancestors to fight the vampires and slay as many as possible.
There’s no way of getting out of this, so Eva chooses to negotiate. She makes a deal with them to give herself up to them, but only if they assist her in taking out Alex. They agree to help and now she’s making progress, tracking him through Hollywood and the many vampire havens that it hides. The last thing that she ever anticipated was falling for a slayer, especially when she is a vampire and is on a quest to avenge her husband’s passing.
She also knows that even if she falls in love with the slayer, they’re also the one assigned to kill her when the time comes. So it’s not exactly the stuff of fairy tale romance. As the slayer and Eva take on vampires of all types, some of whom are even celebrities playing along with the Hollywood game, can the A-list star keep from falling from the one person she isn’t supposed to love? Main character Eva Gallo is coming back to the city of Los Angeles with a purpose. Her intent is to battle along with the Hoplites, the type of vampire group that is committed to killing other vampires. She’s thrilled to belong to something and be part of a group, but her joy at this inclusion and purpose is quickly covered by a storm cloud when her romantic life goes left.
Patrick is the guy that she developed strong feelings for, but the problem is that the Hoplite captain has ultimately become engaged to be married to someone else. He was ordered to do so thanks to the Hoplite Queen Georgia, who ordered it. Eva still has feelings for Patrick, and Patrick definitely has feelings for Eva even though he’s engaged. The two of them can’t fight it forever, and ultimately they give in and act on their passion.
But Eva is devastated when Patrick breaks everything off so that he can be with his betrothed. Eva is sad but when A-lister Jace Hamilton shows up, things may change. She once rescued Jace from being attacked by vampires, and now he’s appeared in her life. She finds him confused without memory of being turned when they raid a vampire brothel, and she guides him into how to handle his powers as a vampire.

I’ve read all the dividing line series and I have loved reading all the books , will there be any more in that series
