About Heide Goody
Heide Goody is a British fantasy comedy author with years of experience writing with Iain Grant. Together, they have created the raucous and award-winning Clovenhoof Satan-in-suburbia series that has attracted a wide readership for its combination of incisive humour and thoughtful satire.
In addition, Goody’s writing often features memorable and endearing characters, ensuring that her stories are gripping, entertaining and easy to become absorbed in. Goody’s skill also extends to creating unique yet relatable protagonists that readers can readily identify with as their stories unravel and their struggles become more complex.
Goody’s gift for storytelling can also be found in her Oddjobs series, four novels that share a common theme; the close look they take at the realities of having a job that is not fitting and the trials and tribulations of trying to make a living. Furthermore, Goody’s standalone novels each unique and offering something different, are routinely praised for their compelling narrative structures and their cleverly woven plots.
Her approach to writing combines interesting characters with engaging stories, bringing something fresh and unique to the fantasy genre. Often, her protagonists are instantly relatable and prove to be key components to the compelling stories she puts forth. Her stories hold the reader’s attention and pull together elements of chance, tragedy, surprises and more, keeping the tension and absorption levels high.
Goody is also able to shift between genres when crafting her tales, often incorporating elements of science fiction, urban fantasy and historical fiction into her work. This enables her to make her stories multilayered and maximise the impact they have; themes of morality and meaning are frequently intertwined into her works and thought-provoking questions raised that stay with readers long after completion.
From the start, Heide Goody has always been able to capture the imagination of her readers and keep them hooked for the entire ride. The balance of characters and stories combined with the unique and diverse approach to fantasy interwoven within her works makes for an incredibly rewarding experience – no matter which book you decide to pick up.
No matter what readers choose to pick up from Heide Goody, they can rest assured that they will be in for an enjoyable and thoroughly entertaining ride. Each book offers something fresh and memorable that will stay with readers long after they have finished the final page.
