Heidi Kimball is a regency romance author that has been known for writing some innovative retellings of popular works of fiction.

From a very young age, Heidi trained in the art of hiding so that she could avoid doing her chores and get to read. She still loves to hide with a book even though she is now a married woman with three children in tow.

She has a lifelong love for M&Ms and peanut butter, all things fall, and any fiction work which would serve as an escape from the banality of everyday life.
Heidi’s first-ever novel was her contribution to the “Regency House Party” series in which she published the novel “An Unlikely Courtship.” She kicked on from there and now has more than half a dozen titles to her name and shows no signs of stopping any time soon.

She currently makes her home in a suburb of Dallas and is still enjoying the roller coaster of being a published author.

While writing is the thing she most enjoys in the world, she has several hobbies she indulges in. When she is not writing, she can be found traveling eating, taking long walks, and spending time with her husband and their three children.

Similar to her contemporaries, Heidi Kimball has always loved reading. As a child and in her teens, her mother loved to encourage her to finish her chores by taking her books away.

However, she never could find time to read when she became a mother. It would not be until her husband enrolled in business school that she finally had some time to herself.

Once she put the kids to bed at night, she began devouring all manner of fiction works. She still remembers the day she read one novel halfway through and then set it down and thought she could do better.

It was not long before she realized there was much more to writing and got to learn all about writing and publishing. Kimball’s very first novel was a young adult dystopian work.

However, she penned that manuscript long before she had studied much about writing. As such, the work will likely never be published.
Once she was published she gravitated more toward regency romances even though she has also dabbled in fairy fantasy retellings that have also been very popular.

Heidi Kimball’s novel “Where the Stars Meet the Sea” is the story of Juliet Graham.

At the opening of the novel, she is counting down the weeks before she turns 21.
