Hidden Identity by Lynette Eason
Author Lynette Eason writes the “Hidden Identity” series of novels. These books are from the genre of romantic suspense with a hint of inspiration thrown in for good measure. The series began publication in the year 2014, when the novel “No One to Trust” was released. The same year, a sequel was released. The series ended publication in the year, when “No Place to Hide”, which is the third book in the series, was released in the year 2015. All of the books in this series are published by Fleming H. Revell Company.

The books are stand alone reads, and can be enjoyed in any order. The common thread linking everything together is a place called Operation Refuge, who hides those who have nowhere else to turn and they help those that are unable to help themselves.

“No One to Trust” is the first novel in the “Hidden Identity” series of novels and was released in the year 2014. The novel stars Summer Abernathy and Kyle Abernathy. Summer Abernathy wakes up in the morning one day and finds her husband is missing and there are three guys in her home with the intent of finding him. The life she has been living has all been built off of a lie. Which Kyle Abernathy did she really marry? Because now she really does not know. Was it the computer programmer she met while she was in line at the bank? Or is it the one that seems to have just been using that image for his cover story?

The hunt for both her husband, and for some answers, leads Summer deeper into a world of organized crime where people get used one moment and then are discarded the next. With her deepest relationship of trust already lying in ruins, Summer does not really know who she can believe right now.

Fans found this one to be a good read, as right from the very start, their attention was grabbed and it never once wavered. The writing style is superb, with each chapter ending making you want to jump right into the next one immediately. Some readers eagerly anticipated picking the book back up any time they had to stop reading to do something else. For some, the way that the characters are already married yet their relationship gets rocky due to betrayal and lies was very interesting. This book is recommended for anybody that enjoys a good romantic suspense read. Once readers finished this one, they could not wait to jump into the next book in the series.

“Nowhere to Turn” is the second novel in the “Hidden Identity” series of novels and was released in the year 2014. This novel stars Danielle Harding and Adam Buchanan. The same day that Danielle Harding takes Simon, her deaf eleven year old son, and flees from her abusive husband, is the same one that a man named Kurt Harding dies. Dani, who is now relieved, believes that she and her kid are finally safe. The reality, however, is that the danger has just started for her and her kid.

This is due to the fact that while Kurt was still alive, he stole something that is important to some mysterious person. This person would like the item back and believes Dani is the one who has possession of it. While she and Simon are on the run for their lives, they have nobody to turn to, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and she and Simon go into hiding. It is unfortunate that she is not going to be able to hide out for too long. The book sets a breakneck pace to find out the truth and discover a better future.

Lynette Eason delivers an enjoyable read with a very creepy villain. It has the same quick pace and captivating storytelling the previous book did. Dani is a totally likable character you quickly begin rooting for right off the bat. The book features an excellent intro that does an outstanding job of starting things off. The book is tough to put down all the way through, with many twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout. Eason does a great job of weaving everything together in such a way to keep readers up all night reading these books, only wanting to know what is going to happen next.

“No Place to Hide” is the third novel in the “Hidden Identity” series of novels and was released in the year 2015. This novel stars Jackie Sellers and Ian Lockwood. It is not each day you get to see your one-time crush and childhood friend on the national news. Jackie Sellers, of course, only wanted it to be under different circumstances. She has a hard time believing that Ian Lockwood is wanted in connection with some terrorist plot.

Jackie is determined to track Ian down and help get his name cleared. She is not the only one that is looking for him. For one, the FBI would like to capture him. Meanwhile, the bad guys just want to see him dead. On the other hand, Ian wants to just survive long enough in order to save thousands of innocent lives.

Quickly, this book takes you on a dangerous road and asks the provocative question about just how far somebody would be willing to go if you were backed up against a wall.

The book is fast paced, action packed, and has countless turns and twists in it with plenty of bad guys. With new dangers around each corner, readers were never bored for an instant with this one. Ian and Jackie are great with each other and have great chemistry. They are both likable and are easy to root for, as you hope they make it out of their predicaments. The suspense is well done and readers get dumped right into the middle of things right from the start. A wonderful thread present throughout the entire book is the ways that God is with us at all times.
