The Guys Are Props Club is the first book in the G.A.P. series by Ingrid Seymour. This fun book first came out in 2013 and kicked off this fictional series.

Main character Maddie Burch is a senior in high school, and she told herself that she was never going to let herself fall for a guy again. Especially if he’s cute. She knows by now that cute guys end up being players and you can’t trust them to not break your heart. Maddie learned this the difficult way when the first boyfriend that she ever had totally shredded her heart.

But Maddie kept that promise to herself as she graduated high school and went on to college. She knows that she’s going to do whatever it takes to get through college and not fall for another cute guy that ends up being a creep. Sure, she’s still attracted to guys, but she is determined to keep the romantic instinct in check by focusing on school, her jobs, and The Guys Are Props club.

Her best friend Jessica founded the club, and it’s a group of girls that has since become a sisterhood. They’ve all been hurt by guys that they thought would care for them and have made it their mission to do everything they can to take their power back and turn the tables on them. Jessica requires them once a semester to do to others what has been done to them. Jessica aims to take down theater major and the very handsome Sebastian Capello and break his heart just like hers was broken.

The group don’t know that Sebastian is not like the other guys. He’s popular and good-looking, but not mean at all. He is real and doesn’t resort to games to get what he wants. The theater major also doesn’t mind going after what he’s interested in honestly and openly, and he wants someone like Maddie. A girl who is real. He’s going to go after her even if it means getting her to leave her vow behind or causes trouble with the girls. Will he be successful? Read this book to find out!

Girls Are Players is the second book in the G.A.P. series by Ingrid Seymour. If you loved all of the events of the first book, give this one a try too!

Jessica may be gorgeous and rich, but she’s also a villain. She’s more than capable of playing with the feelings of others and lying and cheating to get what she wants. She even goes around breaking hearts just because it happened to her. Everyone dislikes her because she has everything, or at least appears to. What they don’t know is that she doesn’t have everything that she wants, because she can’t win over the heart of Taylor Drennon, her high school sweetheart and the love of her life that left her behind without ever even telling her why.

Taylor is the reason why Jessica is so bitter, but she’s been acting so evilly that she’s practically an outcast. And without her friends and with her unrequited love, college life has become terrible for her. She hates all of the mistakes that she’s made and doesn’t know what to do, and has to change something if she wants life to be different.

When Jessica comes home for Christmas break, she unexpectedly meets Taylor. He’s friendly to her, and she wonders whether they could start over again. She thinks that she has an idea to get closer to Taylor and get away from her bad reputation in the first place, transferring to OSU. The very same OSU that her ex goes to playing football on scholarship.

Jessica really believes that she can win Taylor over again, and is so confident that she follows through with her plan to attend OSU. She doesn’t get him closer to her naturally, but must instead resort to the same scheming ways that got her in trouble in the first place. Jessica means well, but is messing up so much Taylor can’t see it.

With their chemistry in the mix, Jessica thinks she’s pulling ahead. But their affair soon becomes a hot and cold scenario, and coming together in love might not be in the stars. Jessica thinks that if she can just get Taylor to admit the reason why he doesn’t appear to want her, she’d be able to get away from him at last, get over this, and be happy once and for all. Will she get closure and be able to move on? Read this book to find out!
