J.E. Taylor is a bestselling author, Supernatural fangirl, publisher, business analyst, editor, wife, editor, and mother.

She was brought up in Novato, California until she was seven years old before the family moved across the country to make their home in Vernon, Connecticut.

She believes that living on the East Coast had a huge influence on her writing. Places such as York Beach, Maine, and the Lakes region in New Hampshire which are dear to her tend to be the setting in many of her novels.
J.E. Taylor was in the sixth grade when she penned her first story which her father kept and then gave to her when she became successful.

Throughout college and high school, she continued writing with much of that being poetry, much of which she lost when her computer crashed a few months into her marriage.

She had a sick feeling thinking about years of work getting lost just like that since she never had a backup. It was in 2007 that she sat down to write following a question from her daughter who asked if she would do anything, what would it be?
She began writing in 2007 and by 2010 she was a published author.

Outside of her writing endeavors, J.E. Taylor works a 9-5 for a large insurance company as a business analyst. She is tasked with writing technical requirements that make it possible for developers to come up with what the company needs to be built.
Beyond that, she is an acquisitions editor and co-owner of “Novel Concept Publishing LLC.”The company is a micro-publisher founded in 2012 when a FIDO author reached out and asked if she would be interested in setting up a publishing house.
They work with just a few authors since J.E. and her partner have put much of their focus on writing their own novels as opposed to publishing novels for other authors.

While Taylor still looks at submissions, it has to be something really good for her to dedicate her time to publishing rather than writing her own novels.

The company does not ask the author to cover any costs of producing the novel but it also does not provide advances. Much of the distribution is done through Draft to Digital and Amazon, with much of the paperbacks distributed through Amazon.
She has also been an “Allegory” E-zine senior editor and also hosts the podcast “Spilling Ink” every fortnight.

J.E. Taylor’s journey to become a published author was long and bumpy just like those of many of her contemporaries.

Starting out, she sent a ton of amateur query letters and by the time she learned how to write a good one, she had burned out her agents’ list.

When she believed she was ready for another round of queries, she began by targeting small presses and was lucky that “Survival Games” her debut was accepted by eXcessica.
Soon after “Dark Reckoning” the first of the Steve Williams series of novels was published by FIDO a sister imprint of eXcessica.

While working under the latter, she used to volunteer as she edited and formatted their works whenever they needed editors.

After a few years, she left the company and decided that she was good enough to publish on her own and began releasing novels under her own imprint, “Novel Concept Publishing, LLC.’
She currently lives with her husband in New Hampshire but they usually spent most of the summer vacations in southern Maine.

J.E. Taylor’s “Dark Reckoning” opens with a sadistic killer stalking Brookfield, New Hampshire a small and secluded college town.

With rumors of murders being about sacrifices and the bodies piling up, Steve Williams the FBI Special Agent is sent undercover into a Brooksfield University fraternity.
The investigation becomes bizarre when he meets a clairvoyant co-ed named Jennifer who swears that it is not a human that is doing the killings.

Steve considers the likelihood of the inconceivable, the unspeakable, and the extraordinary, convinced by the cryptic messages that start appearing in his notebook.
Looking deeper into the messages, he is convinced that Jennifer is involved in the dark happenings happening at the university.

When she tells him that she just had a vision that included a trail of violent deaths, Steve is torn between believing she is responsible for the death or if she is just trying to help out.
It is an amazing work that will hold you in thrall from the first page to the last.

“Vengeance” by J.E. Taylor is a fascinating story set in New York City that follows the life and times of Steve Williams the FBI Special Agent.

He has been working as a corporate lawyer for Charlie Wisnowski, one of the most influential drug lords on the East Coast while planning his downfall.

But his plans go haywire when Jennifer his wife survives a vicious attack from a serial killer. With his undercover guise about to come apart and her life in jeopardy, he instructs his juniors to arrest Charlie.
However, the sting does not go according to plan and Steve finds himself the target of an assassin hired by the biggest mob boss in the US.

Running from the city, Jennifer and Steve settle back into living a tranquil life on the shores of Mirror Lake. But their life is disrupted when Jennifer starts having many visions about a brutal assault on her family in addition to a devastating loss.
With just a few details from her dreams, Steve will have to work with a bunch of past connections trying to find a way to stop destiny.

But what results is a mafia assassin, a serial killer on his trail, and a brother who harbors a grudge.

J.E. Taylor’s novel “Hunting Season” is a riveting addition to the “Steve Williams” series of novels.

At the opening of the novel, Steve Williams is hard at work trying to find Kyle Winslow who had put his wife in a coma and killed his baby daughter.

Following the death of his boss and partner, Steve gets much-needed help from former criminal Chris Ryan, who happens to be the father of his partner. Chris makes use of his knowledge of the underworld and hacking expertise to try to find Kyle.
But will they track down the boy in time or will their wives be killed before they can?

Combining supernatural forces and a crime thriller it makes for a compelling story with the drama and action coming fast.
