J.J. Virgin is also the author of several New York Times bestsellers including the blockbuster work “The Virgin Diet,” which she published in 2012.

While it does seem that J.J. Virgin came out of nowhere, she has been working in fitness and health for more than two decades.

While “The Virgin Diet” is her most popular work so far, this is not her first rodeo. Earlier on, J.J. had published several works on fitness, diet, and health that were moderately successful.
After working in the fitness and nutrition industry for more than twenty years, she felt the need to empower others by making public the insights she had garnered on fitness and health over the years.

She put together everything she learned in her books and has said that her aim with “The Virgin Diet” is to reach and change the lives of a million people through her books.

Over the years, J.J. Virgin has worked with the top doctors in the United States that conducted food intolerance testing.

For more than a decade, she worked on people’s inability to burn fat while doing everything right, which she called weight loss resistance.

At some point, she realized that the same foods kept appearing in the tests and began developing a theory that would become the basis for “The Virgin Diet.”

J.J. Virgin is also the host of the fast-growing “Ask the Health Expert” podcast, which has been downloaded more than 8 million times. She also hosts the “Health Business Growth Cast,” which is targeted at entrepreneurs and health experts.
She is also a regular contributor to “Mind Body Green” and “Rodale Fitness” among many other major magazines and blogs.

She is also the founder of “The Mindshare Summit” the premier health community and entrepreneur event in addition to being a business coach.

Virgin also loves to offer her health and fitness resources, recipes, products, and state-of-the-art programs for free on her website.

“The Virgin Diet” by J.J. Virgin right out of the gate asserts that fat is often not the fault of people that may be struggling with it.

Some people may eat the supposedly right things such as tofu, low-fat yogurt, whole-grain bread, and egg white omelets but never lose weight. In such instances, J.J. found that people’s favorite foods may be to blame.
In this groundbreaking work, the author reveals the real reason why people gain weight and cannot lose it – food intolerance. Many people have a negative reaction to certain foods such as gluten or dairy.
This will often trigger inflammation and result in nasty symptoms such as achy joints, bloating, headaches, breakouts, and worst of all stubborn weight gain.

On J.J.’s “The Virgin Diet” she provides recipes with a lot of healing and anti-inflammatory foods that make it possible for one to reset their metabolism and health. It also eliminates 7 foods that are known to cause intolerance while providing just enough nutrition to ensure one will not feel deprived or hungry.

What is even better is that one can lose belly bloat, drop up to 7 pounds, clear up inflammation, be more energetic, and feel, and look years younger.

J.J. Virgin’s “Sugar Impact Diet” asserts the truism that if you have been eating healthy and just cannot seem to lose weight, you are not alone. In this regard, she says that when it comes to health sugar happens to be the biggest mover of the needle on the scale.
The problem with sugar is that it tends to hide in all manner of unexpected places including dressings, whole foods, packaged foods, diet foods, and even sugar substitutes. Virgin asserts that sometimes it isn’t enough to just cut back or cut out sugar but rather, it may be critical to eliminate the right kinds of sugar.

In yet another New York Times bestseller, the author explains the impact of sugar. Different types of sugar tend to react in different ways in the human body and this has to be taken into account if one is looking to lose weight.
High sugar impact foods usually result in inflammation, energy crashes, and weight gain. Low-sugar impact foods will typically promote fat burning, and provide the fuel that lasts for prolonged periods.
In this work, Virgin points out several types of sugar that people eat every day in foods such as healthy sweeteners such as agave, skim milk, whole grain bread, and diet soda. One could transform their healthy by swapping in low-impact sugar foods over high-sugar impact foods in as little as a fortnight.

“The Virgin Diet Cookbook,” is a work that comes with an assertion that anyone that follows the plan and drops the sevens foods she recommends will be able to drop seven pounds in a week.
The foods she recommends people drop include artificial sweeteners, gluten, sugar, dairy, soy, peanuts, corn, and eggs.

She sets out a three-cycle plan the first of which is to completely eliminate these foods from the diet for 21 days. One should also drink a protein vegan shake once or twice a day rather than have a regular meal.
During the second cycle, one can reintroduce four of the seven foods but only one food a week to determine if they have an intolerance.

In the third cycle, one should maintain the diet including the foods they found they did not have an intolerance for.

Still, Virgin recommends that sugar is strictly limited in the diet and that peanuts and corn should always be eliminated the same as sweeteners.
