Rise of the Phoenix
Calli is an orphan and singing, dancing, and her life has just literary just went up on flames. The story drops you amid Calli’s transformation into the supernatural world. Her parents passed away when she was 12, and she was sent to go live with her aunt. Several years later, she escaped when her aunt’s husband began interfering with her boundaries and went to live on the streets. Finally, she was lucky to get a roof for her and her best friend, but unfortunately, her friend was murdered.

Why was her friend killed? Calli plans to get revenge for her friend, but her efforts are futile. She is in the middle of her mission when her car crashes, and her life is changed forever, and this makes her so angry and worried, or maybe temper isn’t a good thing.

Her day had just begun as an ordinary human, but something extraordinary happened after the crash. Jaxx, a jaguar shifter, finds her at the scene of the crash and resurrection. After the transformation, he was sure that she was his, and soon after, the other shifters noticed the same they went after her.

They include Brant, a bear shifter, Nakotah, a wolf shifter, and Hawk, the businessman, the founder, and the Fae security corporation CEO. Hawk is a complete alpha hole and wants nothing to do with Calli.

Calli takes some time to get on board with her new self, but she isn’t ready to give up her mission until she catches the people who took her friend from her. However, they stumble upon something bigger in the supernatural world.

Throughout the book, there are secrets within secrets. The story begins entirely focused on revenge, then later, the author immerses the reader into the shifter society then back to vengeance towards the end. Each character has their baggage and backstory revealed in the shifting points of view.

The story draws the reader from the beginning and keeps their attention to the last page. The characters are well developed, just like the world-building in this first installment of the great series. The novel is cleverly plotted with lots of drama and action, twists and turns to make a thrilling, emotional, and heartfelt tale. There is also steamy slow burn reverse harem romance.

Watcher Untethered
Watcher Untethered is the debut novel in the Watchers of the Gray series. Injured in the battle, Zander wakes in a deamon feeding ground while bound to a human lady. The restraints origin is unknown, and Austin, the lady, risks the otherworld’s exposure.

Kidnapped and tied together to a sexy man, Austin feels helpless to fight her attraction to her savior. The world’s darkness makes her terrified as the rich sound of his voice triggers an outlandish form of synesthesia.

Chained together by an otherworldly handcuff and left for Zander’s fellow watchers to find, the two of them are confused for a moment. Zander is Nephillim, and it’s prohibited for him to have feelings for a human.

After 10 years of being blind, Austin sees when Zander threatens to destroy the two of them. The watchers are immortal beings protecting the humans, but the trouble is coming their way. When a human female comes and gets involved in their lives, everything changes.

Austin is a human lady thrown into a supernatural war, knowing nothing about what happens there. J.L Madore shows her readers an incredible imagination and good storytelling skills.

In the middle of human corpses and relationships punished by death, Austin tries a side of him he had blocked his entire life. She awakens his inner beast pulling it at its tether while fighting to claim what isn’t possible.

The world-building in the novel is excellent throughout the story. The depth of emotion and how the warriors were all reeling from the impact of the tragedy is amazing. There are lots of actions in this great storyline.

Zander is a remarkable character and a wicked smartass while a gentleman deep down. He made sure that everyone he cared about was taken good care of, be it human or daemon. He was so strong, brave and tried his best to make Tanek proud.

Austin was hilarious, and it’s amazing to see how independent she is, and even though she was blind, she was still able to put up a fight.
Wolf’s Soul
Wolf’s Soul is the second book in the Guardians of the Phoenix Series. The story takes off immediately where the first book left. In this novel, the author mainly focuses on building the already existing relationships while exploring the complexities that Kotah’s mother introduced in the previous book.

Callie is there for her mates and is ready to learn how to protect her new world, but the danger is too much, and the situation is heating up. She is as sassy and funny as ever, holds to her roots, and doesn’t let others bully her. She cares about everyone so genuinely, which is so sweet of her.

As Callie is the main focus, her mates are starting to create their own emotional and physical relationships to strengthen the group. Just like the title suggests, Wolf’s Soul focuses on Kotah, Callie’s wolf. Kotah is a sensitive but sweet person and has a healing personality, but being Fae royalty, he has grown in the spotlight. He has a lot on his shoulders and has to deal with an overbearing, very controlling family.

Kotah is very respectable even when those around him don’t treat him well. He has finally found a family and loves his mates since he has found happiness in them, but his father’s deteriorating health worries him greatly. The group feels the pressure, and Kotah does everything possible to keep his family. There is good character development throughout the quick and endearing book.
