J. S. Morin
J. S. Morin was born in the year 1977 in New Hampshire found himself captivated by the wonders of fantasy novels from a young age. He was introduced Ed Greenwood, Tracy Hickman, R.A. Salvatore, and Margaret Weiss.

He loved exploring the worlds of other people, from Hyrule to Shadowdale. He rapidly found Dungeons and Dragons to be a creative outlet for characters, stories, and new worlds of his own creation.

Much of his writing background comes from years of world-building practice with RPGs, an imagination that will not be quiet, and read the sorts of books he enjoys writing.

Morin’s other passion was for designing and building things. When it came time for him to pick a career, he chose this road. Mechanical Engineer during the day, he spends each of his evenings with his wife in their home in New Hampshire, enjoying the simplicities of life living in a quiet state.

During the night, he dreams his elaborate dreams of performing acts of heroism, visiting fanciful worlds, and solving some intriguing puzzles. This inspires him to create stories that he hopes is going to help shape the lives of the next generation of fantasy readers. His hope is that he can avoid finishing growing up.

His favorite movie is “The Usual Suspects”, while his favorite band is Soundgarden. Morin’s hobbies include computer games, board games, mini-golf, DIY home improvement, and guitar (something he enjoys, but admits he is terrible at).

“Firehurler” is the first novel in the “Twinborn” series and was released in the year 2013. Kyrus Hinterdale has never once dreamed. Neither has Brannis Solaran. What they once believed were dreams were truly windows into some other world. Connected by fate, as well as a mystical connection that neither one fully understands, each of them watches the events of the other’s life as they close their eyes and sleep. Kyrus’ world is ruled by bustling trade and reason, as Brannis lives in a world of fabulous creatures and magic.

They cross paths with another pair with knowledge from both worlds, it turns into a battle of wits, each one has to try to outmaneuver the other one, with the fate of their own lives, as well as the kingdoms, at stake.

“Aethersmith” is the second novel in the “Mad Tinker Chronicles” series and was released in the year 2013. War has come to Veydrus.

Brannis Solaran and Kyrus Hinterdale work to comprehend the intricacies of their Twinborn link. They have to also unravel and analyze the game that Jinzan and Denrick played in order to get one step ahead of them. As Brannis plans a war, and come to terms with Juliana’s looming wedding to Iridan, knows that he needs to feed Kyrus even more advanced magical knowledge and training if they ever actually hope to keep the Kadrin empire from being destroyed.

But, right when plans are beginning to come together, a spell of Kyrus’ goes way wrong. The pair finds themselves in a much bigger dilemma than before. With aid from other Twinborn, they struggle to gain the upper hand in the war, and set it all back like it should be.

“Mad Tinker’s Daughter” is the first novel in the “Mad Tinker Chronicles” series and was released in the year 2014. The world said no to her, and she didn’t listen.

Madlin Errol is heiress to the largest fortune in all of Tellurak. The Mad Tinker, who is her dad, has built up an empire by crafting devices that nobody else in the whole world could match. Madlin grew up spoiled, given everything that she could wish for. The raw metals she wanted, the finest tools, and a workshop all her own. Yet in her sleep, she lives in another world and in another life.

Korr, a world where humans are subjugated, either getting enslaved or working menial jobs. The ruling kuduks treat them like they are talking animals. In this world, Madlin is known as Rynn, a girl that grew up with either of her parents, mired in the depths of the underground city, and slept in a boiler room. Unlike a lot of her fellow humans, she has seen a world without any limits. She, as well as a growing number of human rebels, have started fighting back.

“Rebel Skyforce” is the second novel in the “Mad Tinker Chronicles” series and was released in the year 2014. Rynn and her fellow rebels are currently on the run after they escaped Eversall Deep in what is now being called the Great Slave Revolt. They have to evade airships from nations from all over Korr, in their stolen airships, while seeking to found a headquarters for the Human Rebellion.

At the same time, on Tinker’s Island, Cadmus works to build a new world-ripper from plans he stole. Will he be able to finish constructing it before his old owner builds one of his own? Madlin might be a great help to him, however, she is having enough of her own trouble getting home, with a pair of troublesome Veydran twin born behind them.

The result is a tinker’s chess match, one that is played between opponents that sit across worlds from each other. May the best inventor win!

“World-Ripper War” is the third novel in the “Mad Tinker Chronicles” series and was released in the year 2014. In a war without any borders, you are always behind enemy lines.

The sides are drawn and the war has started. The Human Rebellion is always on the move, knowing that their enemies have the same world-ripper tech that allows them to show up at will across rather vast distances.

The war expands while all sides use their own newfound mobility to reach out to find possible allies. With the stakes growing bigger while factions align, who could really afford not to take sides?

Rynn sets out to rebuild herself only like a tinker can. Madlin designs a hideaway as a last fall-back position for the rebellion that nobody is ever going to find. The Mad Tinker begins working on a weapon that even Rynn believes is insane.
