Currently living in Oklahoma, America, Jaci Burton is an award winning author with over sixty books to her name. Focusing primarily on contemporary romance, she has proven to be successful gaining a large audience that’s growing daily. As a bestselling author for both the New York Times and USA Today, this is a winning formula she’ll continue on into the future.

Early and Personal Life

Although not her proper name, Jaci Burton is a pseudonym for the author as it’s a combination of the initials incorporating her own name and that of her husbands being named Charlie. Currently she lives with him and her step-daughter in Oklahoma where she writes her novels. There is also talk of her writing a novel with her husband, him being an enormous influence both on her and her writing. She also has two sons as well.

Writing primarily erotic fiction, she engrosses herself in her writing as it takes up much of her time. With a vast number of novels as well, her considerable output has continued to keep her working daily. She also has a variety of different talents and interests that have helped create and inspire the person that she is today.

Once she was a fully licensed Private Investigator in the past. Alongside this she also has well over twenty years experience within the corporate sector, before achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in management. She gave all this up to focus on her writing career though, which has proven to be a highly successful choice. To add to all that, she is a keen biker with a love of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Writing Career

Jaci Burton has over five series of books and counting, as they continue to grow in number. A major asset of hers has been her ability to produce novels at an extremely rapid pace, all whilst maintaining the high level of quality her readers have come to expect. In just seven years she has managed well over forty-five books. Currently she attends many meet-and-greets along with a vast number of conventions.

Over the years she has also gained a large quantity of awards, gaining praise from all areas. Nominated three times for a Romantic Times Choice Award given by reviewers, she finally got it during 2006. She has also managed to win The Romance Studio’s CAPA award four times. This along with being a finalist in the National Reader’s Choice Awards and the Bookseller’s Best award.

One of her personal favorite books of hers is ‘Paradise Awakening’ along with ‘Dolphin’s Playground’ from the ‘League of Seven Seas’ series, which she found to be a highly rewarding experience. With a lot of erotic themes, she has become a consummate professional within her area, having much experience when creating a vibrant energy upon the page. In this she also manages to incorporate a large number of other genres, such as the paranormal and the futuristic as well.

With a varied number of subjects, themes and genres she has a strong ability to maintain a high output. Not only that, but it’s proven to be extremely successful with her readers as well. Dolphin’s Playground
