Born on 6 September 1968, Chris Brookmyre is a Scottish author whose blend of politics, comedy, actions and social comments have in turn led him to be referred to as the pattern noir author. Once he is married, Jack Parlabane promises to leave the exceedingly dangerous life of an investigative journalist. However, it does not take long before Jack breaks up his promise when a blogger is found dead. After the killing, the police ruled that this was a burglary case and place three people behind bars whom they believe were involved in the burglary. After Thomas’s arrest, he turns up at the police station. In the year 2013, Chris Brookmyre released the novel, Bedlam.
