The Cowboy’s Daughter
The Cowboy’s Daughter is the first book in the Three Sisters Ranch series. The book stars Kelly Sullivan and Trent Campbell. Kelly had a huge crush on Trent, and most of her time was spent fantasizing about the hot professional bull rider. All Kelly wanted was to spend one night with him. Well, her dream comes true, but their night of romance leaves her pregnant. Kelly tries to reach out to Trent to tell him about their daughter. Unfortunately, all efforts are futile, and Kelly assumes Trent ghosted her. Knowing how much her father adored Trent, Kelly chooses to hide the identity of her daughter’s father. Angry and disappointed, Kelly’s father chases her out of the Three Sister’s Ranch.
Trent Campbell kept on thinking about the best night of his life. If only there was a way to reach the girl he spent that night with. Thanks to a lost phone, Trent had no way to contact Kelly, so all he did was wish he could get another chance with the girl of his dreams. An injury that almost costs his life also leaves him grounded. For a while, all Trent can concentrate on is staying alive, undergoing numerous surgeries, and rehabilitation. After a long recovery, the rodeo hero decides to start a rodeo school now that he has retired from bull riding. As fate would have it, he leases a part of the Three Sister’s Ranch for the Rodeo school.
Kelly moves to New York with her daughter, where she becomes a professional photographer. Five years have passed, and Kelly learns that her father is thinking about selling the ranch due to financial difficulties. Determined to do everything to keep the ranch, Kelly moves back home only to meet with Trenton. The chemistry between these two is still there, but Kelly is afraid. If Trent decides to abandon them, her daughter’s heart would also be broken. So, what happens when Trent learns that he is the father of Kelly’s five-year-old daughter? Will Kelly’s father apologize for the way he treated his daughter when she needed him most?
The Cowboy’s Daughter is a fulfilling read featuring an awesome hero and a determined heroine. Throw in an adorable five your old, and you have yourself a captivating story. Kelly’s father is one stubborn man, but even with his bad decisions, he is still adorable. Away from the characters, the plot and scenery are exceptionally rendered. The steamy romance is a plus, and the intense pace will keep you glued to the pages. Additionally, the flawless narration and straightforward storyline make this an easy read. If you love romance stories that leave you feeling all warm inside, this book is a perfect choice for you.
Heat
Heat is the first book in the Club Inferno series. The book stars Mallory Bryant, a young ER doctor on the run from her abusive junkie boyfriend. Mallory is afraid, broken, and ashamed, and all she wants is a safe place to rebuild her life. Fortunately, her sister offers to host her at Club Inferno, a haven in Connecticut where the rich go to play out their fantasies. Mallory was always an excellent kid while her sister Colleen was the trouble maker. The young doctor cannot help but feel like a failure when compared to a sister who owns a business that is doing so well. However, when she learns about the nature of her sister’s business, Mallory cannot hide her disapproval.
Colleen is a caring sister, and aside from offering a safe abode, she also hires Max Spencer to be Mallory’s bodyguard. Max works as a bodyguard by day, but at night, he is among the most skilled doms at Club Inferno. It has been two months since Mallory stepped foot in Club Inferno, and after spending days licking her wounds, she is slowly starting to enjoy his life again. Max will introduce Mallory to the game at some point, and while she is hesitant at first, she succumbs to the spell of her sexy bodyguard. Max introduces Mallory to an intense passion that leaves her powerless under his touch. The exciting games draw these two even closer, and when Mallory’s violent past catches with her, Max risks his life to ensure that she is safe. Could Mallory’s turn to be Max’s only weakness?
Max is a lovable character. It is sweet to see how a man who likes to stay in control supports Mallory and her decisions even when he doesn’t like it. Mallory, on the other hand, started broken, but as she warms up to Max, fun and attractive woman starts to emerge. The playful banter between Max and Mallory forms the most intriguing part of this story, followed by the BDSM scenes where the two lovebirds explore each other’s bodies. How does the story end for the two love birds? Will Max be in a position to keep Mallory’s abusive ex-boyfriend David away for good?
Heat is an enjoyable book you will struggle to put down. The sexiness between the two main characters is epic, even when the two are just having a conversation. Max is not your usual stubborn alpha. While he enjoyed taking the lead in the bedroom, he is more metrosexual and is comfortable to show his weakness when the occasion calls for it. Max and Mallory have numerous kinky and erotic encounters, and you can’t help but hope they will take their relationship to the next level. The dialogue here is brisk, entertaining, and humorous, not to mention the steady pace, solid plot, and excellent narration.
