An exciting novel of this series is entitled ‘Shadow Bride’. It was released in 1991 by the Zondervan publication. The book opens by showing the second meeting of Rod and Blythe.

Seeing the beautiful Blythe standing before him made Rod go crazy. She was as tall, beautiful, slender, soft-skinned, and shiny-haired as Rod had seen her for the first time in Montclair when she was just 16. At that time, Blythe was more of a shy girl, who wanted to be loved and accepted. Now, she has turned into a self-confident, poised, and fashionably dressed woman. Rod could still see the love for him in her eyes. He wonders if it would be possible for them to not think of all those years that they were separate. Blythe and Rod wonder if they have changed a lot over the years. They also think if too much has happened that has made them different from what they were at the time they had developed a soft corner for each other in their hearts.

Something bothers Rod a lot and makes him question if it is already too late to cherish the love of the woman he has always craved for. This book follows the story of Malcolm Montrose’s bride, Blythe Dorman, who struggles to save her marriage, but could not prevent its tragic end just before the birth of her son. After experiencing despair, sorrow, and heartbreak, she gathers the pieces of her life and heads for England to look for new opportunities. It is here that she comes across her past love and is forced to confront an important truth that she had overlooked in the past. The new experience with her old love enables her to find her true identity and overcome the challenges that lie in her path.

Another wonderful novel of the series is known as ‘Destiny’s Bride’. It was also published by Zondervan in 1988. The main characters featured in this novel include Randall Bondurant, Alair Chance, and Druscilla Montrose. Initially, it is depicted that Randall Bondurant first meets Druscilla Monstrose at his wedding to Alair Chance, Druscilla’s cousin. The two meet again after eight years following the mysterious death of Alair Chance. The chance encounter sets into motion a series of strange events that Druscilla tries her best to ignore. She rejects Randall’s offer many times, but is forced to accept the position that Alair’s widower offers her in the end.

Against the advice of her dear ones, Druscilla becomes the governess to the two motherless children of Randall. This decision was a very difficult one for her as there were accusations and suspicions laid down friends and family members that Randall might be responsible for Alair’s death. Later, Druscilla Montrose travels to Italy with Randall and his kids to live with them as a family. Sometime later, she is given two offers that she did not expect at all. One offer requires her to accept the love of Randall and give up her heritage and the other requires her to make a decision that seems more important and difficult than she has ever made in her life before. The choices made by Druscilla Montrose bring her loyalty conflicts, faith & duty challenges, danger, and romance. With each passing day, her confusion grows deeper and makes her wonder if she should put her trust in the man whose every activity makes her suspect him even more.
