Janice Whiteaker is a romantic suspense and contemporary romance author who also write romantic comedy as Josie Watts and romantic suspense as Jemma Westbrook.
The stay-at-home mother decided to start writing fiction as a form of escape from never-ending conversations about farts and poop with her five-year-olds.
Whiteaker was born at the Kettering Medical Center and spent much of her childhood in Miamisburg.
Janice published “Run” her debut novel and the first of the “Never Waste A Second Chance” series of novels in 2016 and has never looked back since.
She has since become one of the most prolific authors in the genre with more than thirty works to her name.
Before she became an author, she was a hairstylist for more than fifteen years which is perhaps where she developed a very independent streak that she took to self-publishing.
Janice Whiteaker currently makes her home in a farm-ish town named Springboro in Southwestern Ohio. She lives with her husband her children, a gecko, fifteen chickens, a guinea pig, and nine ducks.
Starting out, Janice Whiteaker started writing simply because she could. Unlike many authors who say that they always wrote, she is odd in that she was not always a writer.
In fact, she did not always intend to be a writer, even though she has always been a reader. At some point, she was reading women’s fiction and thought that why could she not write novels when she was a woman just like them?
It was at this time that she sat down to begin writing but it was not long before she found out that there was more to being an author than just writing.
Luckily, she stumbled upon outlining and structure books by K.M. Weiland and took the time to educate herself before she went back to writing.
After several years spent writing her manuscript, she ultimately published it on Amazon KDP.
The success of her first few novels gave her the confidence she needed and she kicked on there to become the author that she is today.
Janice Whiteaker loves to interact with her fans and readers on social media.
She can sometimes be found hanging out on her reader group on Facebook where she provides updates on upcoming books and answers any questions that fans may have.
When she is not penning her novels or interacting on social media, she sometimes attends to several hobbies.
Since her family is the proud owner of a recreational vehicle, the family loves to go camping and travel from time to time.
She loves to do home renovations and is handy with power too. She also loves gardening particularly anything to do with canning and growing edible plants and vegetables.
Whiteaker’s hobbies vary in importance depending on how much time she has in a day since she also has to write.
When it is summer she can usually be found camping but when it is too cold outside she can be found doing her home renovations.
“Cowboy Seeking Nanny” by Janice Whiteaker is an impressive tale that follows a widowed father.
The man is on a quest to build an empire even if he juggled bed times and dirty diapers. Red Cedar Ranch his business has been expanding into new territory and he does not have the time to be a full-time foreman and a full-time father.
What he needs is a nanny even though he often terms it a necessary evil. When he meets Clara he finds that he is more inclined toward the dark-haired beauty.
She had been found by his mother who thought he needed someone who could provide some tough love given his headstrong daughters.
She had moved to Moss Creek Montana on a prayer a whim and a last tank of gas. She is just coming from a contentious divorce and has no one to depend on even as she has to take care of an eight-year-old son.
Her compassionate, caring, and calm nature stirs something deep in him.
On her part finding work at Red Cedar Ranch as a nanny means she finally can have some security income and a place to live. But there is also the matter of the cowboy with a draw and ocean blue eyes that makes her knees weak.
Janice Whiteaker’s “Cowboy Seeking a Second Chance” is the beautiful romance story of Boone Pace and Mae Wells.
A decade ago, Boone made a mistake out of immaturity and selfishness and it has always been a regret of his. He always wanted to be a professional rodeo cowboy for the longest time.
When he finally got the opportunity there was no way he was going to let it go even if he had to leave his sweetheart from high school behind.
He had left the quiet innocent and sweet eighteen-year-old Mae Wells behind but he is now almost thirty and realizes he threw away something very precious.
Mae Wells will never be anyone’s second chance, especially for a man that had abandoned her at eighteen.
At that time she believed her life was all laid out with motherhood and marriage awaiting. But Boone has walked away to go pursue his dreams without even saying goodbye.
She had been left broken and devastated but the man is now back in town and seems determined to get her back. Since he had broken her heart once, she is certain that the worst decision she can make is giving him a second chance.
But the heart wants what it wants.
“Cowboy Seeking A Wedding Date” by Janice Whiteaker is a brilliant romance story that follows the life and times of Nora Levitt and Broks Pace.
Nora finds herself at a crossroads following a messy breakup that left her with no friends, and no home.
She thought leaving the group and spending some time in isolation would be invigorating until she arrived in Mos Creek, Montana to find it was a place with nothing but pastures, fields, and cowboys.
This would have been great if she was in the search for a cowboy but she is not interested. But there is one cowboy whose speech always sends a shiver down her spine.
On his part, Broks Pace was not interested in getting tied down. However, this was all before he met Nora the city girl that makes him think he might just change his mind.
The biggest problem is that country life and Nora do not seem to gel and she has said that she is only in town for an interior decorating gig before she goes back to the city.
This means that Brooks has very little time to convince her that she needs to be with him.
