Janie Crouch is a USA Today bestselling American writer of romance, suspense, contemporary romance, and romantic suspense novels. She is particularly famous for writing the Omega Sector Universe series. The other successful book series written by her include the Instinct series and the linear Tactical series. Crouch says that loves to write about passionate, romantic suspense as she likes to read it as a reader. She has won and has been a finalist of many literary awards of the romance genre, including the RITA Award, the Golden Quill Award, and the National Reader’s Choice Award. Crouch’s influences include the work of authors such as Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Suzanne Brockmann, Elizabeth Lowell, etc. She is happily married and has four teenage kids. Crouch was born in Atlanta and has been residing in Virginia for the last 20 years. Recently, she moved to Germany with her family because of her husband’s job for the United States Military.

When Crouch is not busy with her writing work, she likes to engage herself in crazy adventures. She likes to participate in the 200 mile relay race, treks to mountain tops, Ironman Triathlons, traveling to exciting places of natural beauty. Crouch also loves to watch movies in her spare time. She has been involved in the field of writing from a very young age. Initially, she used to write only academic pieces and moved on to write other types of work later. Author Crouch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Communication. She has studied at Montreat College, located in Montreat, North Carolina. After this, Crouch attended Regent University in Virginia and obtained her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Communication Studies. As soon as Crouch received her doctoral degree, she joined one of Virginia’s community colleges to teach communication courses. Crouch’s fantasy/fiction geek has roots dated long back.

During her doctoral degree, she worked on a dissertation that dealt with how people made relationships with fantasy/sci-fi characters and maintained them. In the academic papers, Crouch was often told to lessen the dram. Now, she is glad that there is no one to tell her that. Crouch’s first attempt at writing something seriously was participating in a national level novel writing competition in 2011. One of her close friends had dared her to participate. The outcome of her participation was the publication of her debut novel called Unbreak My Heart. After a few months, Crouch wrote Primal Instinct. Luckily for her, Harlequin Intrigue bought this book in 2013.

Following her husband’s transfer to a US Military base in Germany in 2015, Crouch shifted to Stuttgart. She kept herself busy in the foreign land with her loving husband and teenage children. Crouch tries to write as many pages as possible while her children are in school. However, she feels that she doesn’t get enough time. Another reason for this is the fact that she likes to take up new adventures all the time. Crouch believes that she doesn’t know how to sit still for long. In 2018, Crouch laid the foundation of Calamity Jane Publishing, which published her Linear Tactical novels. The books of this series went on to become bestsellers. Crouch’s books are available all over the world. They are read and appreciated by a large number of readers all across the globe. Crouch is an active member of the RWA, KOD, and the Contemporary Romance Chapter of the RWA.

A very successful series penned by author Janie Crouch series is known as the Linear Tactical series. It is comprised of a total of 6 books released between 2018 and 2019. The primary characters created by Crouch for this series include Zac Mackay, Annie Nichols, Finn Bollinger, Charlotte Devereux, Aiden, Violet, Gabriel Collingwood, Jordan Reiss, Dorian Lindstrom, Grace Brandt, Heath Kavanaugh, Jacquelyn, Lyn, Cade, Peyton, etc. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Cyclone’. It was released by the Calamity Jane publication in 2018. It features the lead characters in the roles of Anne Nichols and Zac Mackay, and the story is set in Oak Creek, Wyoming. The book opens by introducing Anne Nichols as a doctor. She arrives in Oak Creek as she considers it a safe haven.

Anne has always been stuttering, shy girl. No one notices her presence except Zac. He is the reason why Anne had moved out of Oak Creek in the first place. Zac Mackay is a member of Special Forces. His training has taught him all the necessary survival skills. Now, he has decided to teach all the skills to other people by forming a company called Linear Tactical. Zac intends to teach people how to overcome their fears and live freely. Even after having such good intentions, Zac does not know why Annie is afraid of him. She is the last person Zac would ever think of hurting. When things between them do not ease-out, Zac decides to take it upon himself to wipe out the fear of him from Annie’s mind. While doing so, he also intends to fix the mistakes that have been committed by him unknowingly. Both Annie and Zac are unaware that a predator has decided to target Annie. Zac’s survival skills are going to be put to test in saving the life of the women he loves.

The second installment of the series is known as ‘Eagle’. It was also published in 2018 and features the central characters in the roles of Finn Bollinger and Charlotte Devereux. Initially, Finn Bollinger is introduced as an ex-Special Forces soldier. When he is asked to become a part of a deadly mission headed by the government, Finn agrees. He has maintained his shape and fitness by teaching survival techniques to civilians at Zac’s Linear Tactical. Finn knows that he is still capable of carrying out any mission. However, Finn never expected to come across Charlotte Devereux, who is also a member of the deadly mission. He sees as bad news and doesn’t know how to handle her. Charlotte and Finn have a history together and Charlotte knows she cannot change it. Also, she doesn’t regret the choices that she had to make in order to reach where she is now, even though she got deprived of everything she held dear. Now, Charlotte is ready to endure her fallout and doesn’t mind letting Finn Bollinger control her future. Finn has every right to destroy Charlotte and she knows he can’t be labeled wrong for doing so. Later, the mission takes a wrong path and the lives of every member lands in the hands of Charlotte. Finn wonders if he is ready to take that risk again.
