Apache Magic is the first novel in the Apache-Colton series by Janis Reams Hudson. If you love historical romance, go ahead and give this series a try and pick up a copy of the debut story!
Main character Daniella Blackwood has an interesting life. The Apaches considered her to be an adopted daughter, and she was someone that they cherished and respected. The shaman of the Apaches thought that Daniella’s strong white streak in the middle of her hair signified that she was special. The visions that she sees in the flames were declared evidence of her magic.
Daniella is not prepared for what she experiences when she first makes the acquaintance of Travis Colton. She is immediately overcome with the type of passion that no magic could ever create or replace. Travis is a rancher in Arizona, and he is quite taken with Daniella. He finds her beautiful and mysterious. But he also knows that when it comes to getting his son back, she is his only hope.
Travis was with his son when Cochise’s warriors struck and took him away. He is only 10 years old and while he was gone, his father was presumed dead and left behind. Travis was anything but and somehow got all the way back home. There he planned to do whatever was necessary to get his son and return him home.
Travis and Daniella have a lot of chemistry together and she’s willing to help him out. But can they stay focused on the mission? Will they be able to get together after? Read this book to find out!
Apache Promise is the second novel in the Apache-Colton series written by Janis Reams Hudson. If you were caught up in all of the adventure and the action of the first novel, then be sure to give this lively sequel a try!
Angela is the main character in this story and she’s run into some trouble. When Indians take her hostage, she knows that she’s got to get out of there. She’d be willing to do almost anything in order to finally get her freedom. Matt Colton is a rancher and appears to be her only shot of getting back to a normal life. The only thing is that he suggests that they get married and Angela be his bride to do so.
Even if it is only in name, Angela agrees to the scheme. The only problem is that she’s falling for him, and can’t help but notice his tanned skin and broad shoulders. She’s developing feelings for Matt, but the only thing is that she doesn’t know if he feels the same way, even if they are married. Matt got her freedom and her life back, and Angela just wants him to fall for her the way she’s falling for him and hold her in the night.
Matt did claim Angela as his wife and his own, and was secretly glad that she went along with his plan. Matt knew the best way to keep her reputation intact was to get married and keep her from being seen as tarnished. Another benefit of their union is the fact that the whites and the Indians get to maintain a peace that was always fragile.
There would have been an immediate reaction if the soldiers heard that one of their own women had been kidnapped. Matt wants to keep Angela’s kidnapping under wraps and once she’s in his life, he can’t imagine it without her. She has beautiful green eyes and golden skin, and now that he’s got her, he doesn’t want her to ever leave.
Matt told her that this was a marriage in name only, but he’s sensing sparks between them. Could this marriage turn from an agreement to a relationship of passion and love? Read this book to find out!
