Jason Kasper is an American thriller author. He has served in the United States of America’s army for fifteen years. Jason started service as ranger private and ended his military career as a team commander. He is also a recognized skydiver, marathon runner and also a base jumper all which have contributed massively to his fictional work. Currently, Jason lives in Carry, North Carolina together with his wife and daughter.

Jason is recognized for the bestselling series, David Rivers. Serving in the army and other functions related to his career have notably enabled him to create extraordinary stories.

Greatest Enemy

The first book in the David Rivers series is the Greatest Enemy. David was doing correctly at WestPoint in but on his final year he was dishonorably discharged. Due to the discharge, he is broken and stressed. Three men appear in his life and change his entire life to the absolute negative side.
David has served in Afghanistan and Iraq, but his career is abruptly halted when he is discharged from the force on his final year at West Point. This event makes him stressed out and takes him to the ground. Three mysterious men approach him and demand of him to carry out a certain task. He does not refuse as they threaten to expose a dark secret involving a cold murder that he carried out some time in the past.

Rivers is supposed to carry out a similar murder, and because he wants the secret buried, he takes the job with no objection. This step throws his life into the dark underground of Special Forces who are out for hire with the highest bidder setting the rules. Over time he learns that his boss is a ruthless and uncaring man whom David should consider his greatest enemy. Discovery of the treachery that is with his employer triggers him to create a strong enemy in his boss.

The author ushers you to the life of a former military officer who has suffered in the past and who is blackmailed in a group that is even worse than what they used to do while in service. As David struggles with the past and the present, he struggles to find a purpose that ends up in a darker world than the past that he is trying to forget.

Jason offers you a wild ride, action-packed that will keep you on the story from the beginning to the last page. He gives his readers a wild ride from the first page to the last one.

Offer of Revenge

Second in the David Rivers Series is the Offer of Revenge. After betrayal by his boss and loss of all his mercenary friends, David lives in exile. An offer for revenge against his former boss pops up, and Rivers accepts it as he is already bitter and living away from comfort. But the cost of revenge is huge-will he affords the cost?

David has been betrayed by the same person that introduced him into the secretive paramilitary world, and he is now a fugitive. Someone offers him the chance to take revenge on the person that turned his life to this phase. However, to see this to completion, he has got to join a lethal organization that is responsible for slaughtering the only family that he had. Rivers is so compelled by revenge that he does not see the true picture at first. Deep into the heart of Somali, he starts unravelling things related to what had led to the demise of his friends.

Deep inside him, the only thing that ticks is getting close to Handler and making him pay for the mistake that led him into an exiled life. Getting close to his enemy is not going to be an easy task as it will bring him to a point where he almost faces death. The man he is chasing is not an easy one, and this implies that it will be a life-risking mission but having set his mind, David is determined to achieve his objective.

The author has set a story that is easy to read with a lot of action and multiple scenes that have a lot to learn from as the story progresses. It is a reflection of what most people that have served in the army go through especially after an instance of a dishonorable discharge.

Dark Redemption

The third book in the David Rivers Series is the Dark Redemption. During his time in Somali, David realizes that a lot and happens to achieve in killing the man responsible for his teammates’ death. Returning from the mission, David’s ma is getting the person that pulled the evil strings from far, and this time, the target is very close.

Achieving this new mission put him on a task that is different from those that he is accustomed to and instead he is supposed to protect the client. The plan is to kill the handler after the mission is over. As he defends his assigned clients in the slums of Rio de Jerio, he discovers that a lot is hidden from him and the betrayal of his friends was just a tip of the ice bag for what had been planned. David is goal driven person, and once he sets eyes on a certain objective, nothing will stop him, from hitting the same. Through horrendous odds, he moves on to see the completion of the mission that he has set.

The author brings in the problems that veterans face in their lives and the effects that are created by the hideous circumstances that they face. Jason also shows the effect of revenge on an individual and the community as seen in the life of the main character. He also explores the consequences of decisions that one takes daily and the cost of putting things back on track with some of the conditions created being irreparable.

Jason presents another piece with a fair share of suspense and a load of action making the book irresistible. The story is well written with an arrangement and interaction of events that holds the reader’s attention all the way to the end.
