They begin to fear for their lives and look for desperate measures to overcome their miserable state. At last, they approach a mysterious drifter named Jack Bunker for help. Jack appears to be suffering from his troubled past and has managed to remain alive with his training and skills he learned at the military school. After the initial investigation, Jack Bunker realizes that not everything in this town is what it looks like. Some dark forces are trying to create havoc by emerging from the shadows. They seem to be preparing for unleashing an evil that no could have ever imagined. Jack Bunker prepares himself to face these dark forces as he cannot let innocent people lose their lives. He decides to get to the bottom of the conspiracy and make the culprits pay for their evil plans.

Another interesting volume of this series is known by the name ‘Dogs of War’. It was also published in 2017 in the Kindle format. Once again, Jack Bunker is mentioned as the main lead. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that the leaders of Clearwater town intercept a covert message being sent in the form of a secret code. They immediately bring this to the notice of Jack Bunker as they fear that this could be something dangerous and could land the country in a great danger again if not taken care off soon. Jack Bunker joins the leaders sets himself on the mission of uncovering the deadly intent and the secret behind the covert message. However, before Jack Bunker’s team could neutralize the threat and succeed in this mission, they learn about the rise of a ruthless man gaining a foothold and engaging in abduction and torture for establishing his control.

The number of dead bodies continues to be on the rise, forcing Jack Bunker to summon a different side of his personality that he loathes very much. He realizes that it is the only way he can save the lives of all those he cares very much about. Jack Bunker also knows that saving his friends is not going to be an easy task. And with the focus of the insurgents turning towards the mysterious past he is always worried out, Jack senses he does not have much time left and must act quickly before the time runs out. Just like the previous installment, this book too is filled with nonstop and fast paced action. The readers appreciated the intriguing plot, colorful characters, various twists and turns, and liked each of the aspects of the story. This helped the novel to become immensely successful and also added to the popularity of author Falconer.
