Jayci Lee is a contemporary, chick-lit, and romance author that has made a name for herself writing sexy, poignant, and laugh-out-loud romances. Before Jayci became a bestselling author she had a very successful career as a defense lawyer.

She published Temporary Wife Temptation her debut novel in 2020 and has never looked back since. She now has more than half a dozen novels to her name. Since she so loved to write she decided to become a full-time writer.

She has said that books have always helped her heal, dream, and grow and hopes that her works would do the same for her readers.

Lee often cannot live in the real world as she often escapes into the worlds of the badass heroines and the drool-worthy heroes that fill her brain.
Jayci currently makes her home in California where she lives with her handsome, tall, and dark husband, their two rambunctious children, and their fluffy dog.
When she is not writing her novels she loves to travel, drink wine, and eat good food just like most of her characters.

Unlike many authors, Jayci Lee bloomed very late. It was not until she was thirteen that she discovered Harlequin novels.

She would then become an avid romance reader but always thought why there weren’t any Asian American characters in the stories she read.

As she grew older, she finally came to the realization that Asian Americans and other minority people were deemed others in mainstream literary circles.
Jayci believed there was a demand for novels with Asian American leads. Given that she is Korean American, she had the heritage and upbringing to bring this dream to fruition.

She has said that by writing her novels, she wanted literary readers to come to see minorities as fellow Americans. She made the decision to write romance since she loves to read the genre and it has a lot more readers as compared to most other genres.

Jayci Lee loves to write romance as she gets to write stories about dreams, hopes, love, and happily ever afters. There is nothing she would rather be doing than writing about independent and strong heroes and heroines.

She has said that she writes novels that are an antithesis to what patriarchal society loves to feed women about their sexuality, their roles, and femininity.
Lee’s favorite novel is Madeline Miller’s “The Song of Achilles. She loves the heartwrenching and poignant beauty of the writing and the enthralling love story.

Jayci Lee’s novel “A Sweet Mess” is a light-hearted romantic comedy that will leave its readers enthralled.

The lead in the novel is a woman named Aubrey Choi that makes her home in the foothills of California. She runs a very successful bakery in a small town far away from the watchful eyes of her strict Korean family.

Things come to a head when she accidentally has a bad cake mix and gets a harsh review, which threatens all she has worked for. The critic is none other than the one-night stand she thought she would never meet again.

But Landon Kim comes to her place of work intending to smooth things out and Aubrey is torn between hearing and throwing him out.

He has a plan to save her business but it would involve spending at least two fortnights with him in California wine country. She wants to save her business but knows this would be the perfect recipe for disaster.

Finally, she decides to give it a try and things start ramping up from there.

Ultimately, she will have to decide if she is ready to risk her heart for the sake of her business.

“The Dating Dare” by Jayci Lee is a chemistry-filled and witty novel full of humor.

The lead is introduced as Tara Park, a woman that has sworn off serious relationships. Still, she is not your one-night stand kind of woman. But it is a hard choice to make when the stranger in question is Seth Kim, the brother-in-law to her best friend.

He is an unreasonably charming and handsome man that she knows would be good for the ego just as he is easy on the eye. As such, when she engages in a friendly game of Truth or Dare which results in a four-date meet with Seth, she could not be happier.

They have sexy and sweet dates but the roadblocks never seem to end. Thankfully their chance meetings and non-dates get heated and frequent.
He is set to leave for Paris where he has been offered a new job. It does seem that what they had was a minor distraction but Seth is realizing just how sexy, sweet, bold, and funny Tara Park is.

The only problem is that neither of the two is ready for a serious relationship. Will they take a shot at happily ever after?

Jayci Lee’s novel “Booked on a Feeling” is the story of Lizzy Chung Esquire, who has so far overachieved. At the moment, she has achieved her dream of becoming a lawyer, getting a job at a prestigious law firm.

She is now working toward making partner. If nothing goes wrong she will have achieved the dream of becoming a partner in a few years. This would make her parents very proud and allow her to live a fulfilled and successful life in L.A.

But she never expected that at the pivotal moment of her career she would suffer a major panic attack.

She is taken to the Weldon-based psychiatric clinic where she can try to figure out things. There could not have been a better location to recharge as she had once spent her summers there and made friends with Jack Park a local boy.

Park never thought he would ever see Lizzy in Weldon but is grateful that he gets three weeks to spend with Lizzy. However, he had never told her that he always crushed on her and that he intends to keep quiet about it.

After all, he is just a bookkeeper for the family brewery that was bound to his hometown while she is a high-powered lawyer from the big city. But the more time they spend together the more he thinks that he may just have a shot.

On her part, Lizzy cannot deny that what they have is more than friendship.
