Jennie Allen is a Christian author and a passionate leader following God’s call to inspire people to experience the invisible God through her writings.
She holds a Masters in Biblical Studies from DTS and is well known for her bible study books, Chase and Stuck, a CBA bestseller.

She is the founder and visionary for IF: Gathering and a passionate leader answering God’s call to encourage women to live by what they believe.
In her books, the author gives the reader the chance to allow God in their lives.

Stuck
The book is an honest and open review of our inner battles and the things that hold us back and prevent us from having peace, freedom, happiness, and walk-in God.

It’s simple and profound; the purpose is to help the readers gather their broken pieces and present them to God through prayer.
The author also discusses the areas in people’s daily lives that keep them away from God.

No one is always perfect as they appear, and everyone is stuck in one area or another of their lives. Once one is confronted with their imperfections, they try to hide or rebel.

Most people live stuck in sadness, trying to seem perfect, going after things to make them happy, and stuck in some stuff they are not even able to name.
These areas they are stuck in mostly go unattended in them and end up shaping their lives more than one might imagine.
The first step is to free oneself, then admit their sins and humble before Him.

The book goes further to show that God, in His grace, gave people His word so that they can be able to free themselves.
It’s good to let go of anger to bridge the divide that people created between God and them. Jesus gave up His rights so that he could save people, so why can’t one save themselves?

The spirit of humility helps one let go of their proclaimed rights and the discontent that makes them soul-sick. To become free of the sin of jealousy and comparison, people should rejoice in what God has provided for others then adopt the value of service.
Some people have become stuck in their fears and worries and have no joy in what God has blessed them with.
The best way to redeem themselves is by giving up the idols they’ve created then putting their trust in God alone.
The author further advises people to turn to God so that he will keep people from getting overwhelmed by life.
Once people put their hopes and expectations in Him, He will be happy with them. Everyone should always turn their needs to God so that they will get what He has for them.

Stuck is an exceptional study and is perfect for group reading and discussion. The components of the book are suitable for a life-changing experience if one approaches it with an open mind that is ready to be released from the complex situations in their lives.
The book is an excellent study, challenging people to trust God and His plans for them. Jennie Allen is helping people identify the areas that they are stuck and making them realize that all we need is God to help them get out of the situation.
The author further challenges people, to measure and evaluate their lives using the scripture.

I like how the author uses scripture in every single chapter motivating everyone to reflect while moving from their stuck areas.
Some of the lessons in this study guide are simple and engaging, giving the reader assignment, stories, and Bible studies to read the scripture so that they can fully engage their minds and heart. God is always ready, waiting to give everyone hope and freedom.

Get Out of Your Head
In this book, the author seems to understand what it’s like to stay in a cycle of destructive thoughts. She further proves that one doesn’t have to remain tied in their toxic thinking. God has made a way so that they can escape that downward cycle of thoughts.

Freedom will only come once they choose to deny becoming victims of their thoughts and realizing that God has equipped them with the power to fight and win wars in their minds.
Thoughts are mighty, and each chapter discusses a vital area to reframe their behavior and thoughts around.
There are many lessons to learn on each page, so it’s good to read one page after another without skipping any.
Jennie Allen provides roadmaps for eight groups of thoughts and how one can transform them into choices and regain control of their thoughts. There has always been an enemy out here that is determined to get in people through life if they let him in.

The author is very vulnerable when she talks about leading and teaching as she walks through her life struggles while reflecting that one doesn’t need to be perfect to answer God’s calling as they can still be consecrated through it.

The study guide lets everyone know that it’s also okay not to be okay and helps people at the same time understand how hard it will be if they stay stuck in their thinking.
The book doesn’t shame people for needing therapy or meds at some point in life.

It also highlights that it’s good for one to have a prayer group where the members can share their thoughts then pray together.
Jennie neatly weaves the scripture and science to explain how lousy thinking gets people stuck in their minds and how one can stay out of it.
Everyone is valuable before the eyes of God, so it’s up to each one to surrender their fears to the Lord.

Scientifically, it has been proven that meditation can help one change the direction of their brain.

Everyone always has a choice to listen to their negative thoughts or set their thoughts on the word of God. Do yourself a favor and get healthier thoughts by reading this book.
