Jennifer Malone Wright is an American author of fantasy/urban fiction, young adult and paranormal fiction best known for The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter, a bestselling short story series. She is a resident of Idaho where she lives with her ex-army husband and their five children.

The Vampire Hunter’s Choice

In the first book in Malone’s bestselling vampire short story series, we meet Chloe Kallistrate who gets the shock of her life when she’s awoken by her mother in the middle of the night and told to hide in the closet. She lives with her grandfather Luke and Drew, an 18-year-old vampire hunter, who shows no sympathy for naïve Chloe. But deep down, Drew cares a lot for her and wants her to be strong knowing what lies ahead of her.

There’s plenty of action in the series debut novel as well as other. The readers get to spend over a year with the main character as she grows and transforms into a fierce vampire hunter dedicated to the real call of her blood. She learns, jogs, and trains to use weapons and prepares for the day she will come face to face with the vampire responsible for her mother’s death. It’s fun watching Chloe learn and develop her skills and also grow into a confident woman. She also gets attracted to a young man named Drew, who would instead shoot his foot than to admit how he feels about her.

Love and War

A war is looming around the corner between the vampires and vampire hunters, and Chloe has sworn to strike against the vampires before they attack the hunter community.

Chloe tries to convince the rest of the hunter community, and more specifically Drew, the man she loves, that they should attack the vampires first. Later they can plan how to attack the group of new friends Alice, Oscar, Christina. Before they begin the attack, Drew and Chloe are distracted by the news of a vigilante who’s already saving innocent humans against what appears to be vampire attacks. Fearing that the vigilante will cause more unwanted attention that will expose the hunters with each person rescued, the group attempts to find the true identity of the mysterious vampire hunter.

When they finally catch up with the vigilant, the group comes to a shocking discovery that might ultimately change everything for everyone but will have the most significant impact on Chloe herself.

The first book in the Arcadia Falls Chronicles series, Love & War is a great series debut novel. While the first in Arcadia Falls series, it’s a sequel novella series to The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series. The book picks up shortly after the last book in the previous series ends and follows the now 16year-old Chloe and her team of vampire hunters as they try to figure out what to do now that the vampire war is looming.

Immortal Ties

Immortal Ties is the first book in Saint’s Grove’s series. We meet Molly McMillan, who’s lived all her life in Saint’s Grove and aside from the usual gossip and dispute that make up the norm of living in a small town and nothing exciting ever happened. Until one day when a extraterrestrial event occurs, and the small town is taken over by beings only heard in legends. Molly is ambushed by one of the creatures that have been haunting her nightmares for years. Luckily for her, evil aliens are not the only beings that appeared in the rural town that night.

Aero does not know why he has been sucked out of his realm, but the moment he set feet in Saint’s Grove, he finds himself surrounded by creatures and chaos that shouldn’t be roaming around Earth. Nearby, he hears screams of a woman in need and hurries to the rescue. But saving her life would also transform his life in the most unimaginable ways.

The author perfectly blends mythology with romance, suspense, and intrigue to create a storyline that will hook you right from the first page to the last page. The characters are well crafted in a way that makes them relatable to the readers, even despite the story being set in a fantasy world. The reader will walk along with Molly as she through her adventures and experience everything first hand.

Keeper vs. Reaper

This is the first book in Graveyard Guardians series. We meet Jack, the son of the Emperor of Reapers. He is sent on a mission to destroy the chosen one. On the other hand is Lucy Estmond, a keeper as well whose job is to collect and protect people from reapers who devour the souls. There is a spark of energy when a reaper comes into contact with a keeper. Jack is shocked that his feelings for the charming Lucy are not that of destruction but rather hope and building. The Empress is not pleased with Jack’s inability to eliminate Lucy and has her abducted. Jack then joins Estmond clan in efforts to retrieve Lucy. But the big question is, can the two stop the ongoing war between the keepers and reapers?

Lucy Estmond isn’t your typical heroine. She is a keeper or in other words, the protector of souls. On the other hand, Jack is a great character as well. He has his shortcomings and is also a total jerk, but more mature compared to Lucy. He is a reaper, and this means that he’s a sworn enemy of the keepers because he feeds on souls to survive. The story contains explicit sexual scenes making it a perfect read for adults who love adult paranormal romance books with sexy heroes and spunky heroines.
