Author Jennifer Snow has been writing since she could first hold a pen. Her love of books left little doubt about what she wanted to do with her life. She wrote short stories and poetry; by the age of fifteen, she had submitted a young adult story that she had handwritten to Harlequin. She says that the courage to do so was from some kind of young arrogance. It got rejected, but that did not stop her. It helped that their rejection notice was kind and nice.

Real life got in her way after that. She had to work a couple of jobs to pay the rent, college courses stole her time, and the boys that stole her heart. It left little time for her to write stories. She gave birth to a son and after that, decided it was time to write again. She wanted to prove to her child that dreams can come true, but you have to put the effort and energy into it and believe in yourself. Snow was able to write her first manuscript (that got published) with her son on her lap.

“The Trouble with Mistletoe” is the first novel in the “A Brookhollow Story” series and was released in the year 2013. This novel stars Luke Dawson and Victoria Mason. Victoria Mason left both the town of Brookhollow and Luke Dawson (her fiance) behind twelve years ago and did not look back at all. Instead of having the small town dream of kids and family to work late nights at a big huge and powerful acquisitions firm. It is the life that allows her to have lunches at New York restaurants and take jet set vacations on the slope. Next assignment is for her to buy the sporting goods store in Brookhollow, which is something that makes a challenge for Victoria (and for more than one reason). Christmas is coming and she has other plans for the holidays. The owner is not so ready to sell, and the owner just so happens to be Luke. Victoria needs to get the deal finished before she gets pulled back into her old life and love. Or get trapped under the mistletoe, again.

Fans of the novel found both the lead characters to be well written and feel like real people. Like Victoria, who is confused over her feelings for Luke; and Luke who was both kind and wanting to do good things, but still a man. The setting was well described and gave the story a nice foundation. The dialogue felt like it came from the heart. Jennifer Snow writes in such a way that you cannot put the book down because you are so invested in the story. Some liked the way that this book is not full of foul language or sex scenes, but focuses more on the two characters getting together. They liked that she did not have to have them get naked the whole time to tell an interesting story.

“What A Girl Wants” is the second novel in the “A Brookhollow Story” series and was released in the year 2014. This novel stars Bailey Sheppard and Ethan Bishop. Bailey Sheppard has always been one of the guys, but she has also fallen in love with one of them. He is a firefighter named Ethan Bishop and she has carried a torch for him since they were in high school. Now that his long time girlfriend has dumped him and broken his heart, Bailey is able to go after him. Ethan only sees her as a friend, possibly even a best friend, but certainly not much more than that. He still pines for his ex and is blind to other women. Is Ethan able to resist a woman that knows exactly what she wants?

Fans of the novel found that they wished they could be like Bailey, who is an ace mechanic and great with athletics, but also beautiful. These characters that Snow writes about are people that you like reading about and cannot help but fall for. These are characters that you can relate to and it feels as though you know them, just by reading about them. Once again, Jennifer Snow wrote a novel that is hard for readers to put down; she also packed it with all kinds of emotions that help her readers connect both with the material and the characters. Fans cannot get enough of these books and find that it is one series to follow for romance fans.

“Falling for Leigh” is the third novel in the “A Brookhollow Story” series and was released in the year 2014. This novel stars Logan Walters and Leigh Norris. Logan Walters is a New York novelist that fell for the girl next door. Leigh and Logan met while she was hammering while he was trying to write, and he tried climbing her rickety ladder to ask her to stop. The move was part gallantry and part frustration. It led to him breaking his wrist and having an assistant full of guilt and no ability to type at all. Going to Brookhollow’s Bed and Breakfast is not going to be the peaceful escape he thought it would be so that he could work on his long overdue manuscript. Although, it is getting more and more interesting by the moment.

Fans of the novel found that this story was wonderful; it showed two people who grew up very differently, but both want the same things out of life. The atmosphere of Brookhollow gave the story a feel of warmth and caring, right as readers fall in love with the two main characters. The author is able to pull every heart string with her work as she combines the charm of a small town, drama, a laugh or two here and there, and romance. Fans cannot get enough of this charming series that Jennifer Snow writes. Each time, she makes them fall in love with the story and feel everything that her characters do in each novel.
