Jenny Schwartz
After a long and varied career working as an alien spacecraft engineer, a cryptid wrangler and a time traveler, and because nobody would believe that her stories were even true, Jenny Schwartz self-identifies as a novelist.

Her hobbies include chocolate connoisseurship and earworm hexing.

She got the idea for “Kiss It Better” after reading this article about quarter life crises. It made her think more about how common it is, and a strawpoll with her friends convinced her. Twenty-seven seems to be this magic age when we stopped everything in order to question what we even wanted from life and if we were receiving it. Then boy, did we sure go after it.

So Jenny wanted to write a story where the heroine would face a crises of her own. How did she confront it? What changed and what is it that she made change?

Then Theo roared up to her on his motorbike and then she fell in love with her hero.

“Wanted: One Scoundrel” is the first novel in the “Bustlepunk Chronicles” series and was released in 2011. All that suffragette Esme Smith truly wants is a man. A scoundrel to be more precise. Somebody that can be persuaded to represent her political views at men-only clubs. Being the daughter of the richest man in all of Australia, she can afford to make it worth the right guy’s while.

Jed Reeve (an American inventor) is fresh off the boat, is intrigued by Esme’s proposal, however is even more interested in the beauty herself. Amused that she takes him for a man that lives by his wits, he accepts this job, which is made easier by the fact that he shares her ideals already. Before long, he finds himself caught up in kidnapping, political intrigue, and blackmail, and is attempting to convince his employer that he is more than merely a scoundrel.

“Kiss It Better” is the third novel in the “Jardin Bay” series and was released in 2014. Revisit beautiful Jardin Bay with this third novel in the series. The town might look like it is paradise, however for this one nurse it just represents broken dreams.

All that Cassie Freedom wants to do is save the world, and she really could, if only she were able to. However her dreams of nursing in Africa gets shattered, and she comes back home to Jardin Bay, where security, familiarity, and this sense of her own failures threaten to drown her.

Dr. Theo Morrigan knows a thing or two about responsibility, since he left his own medical practice behind in order to take a family business over. He knows his future, his mind, and how he wants to live his own life, up until this old secret resurfaces and rocks his entire world.

All of a sudden, the man that needed nobody needs a broken hearted nurse, and a nurse that believes she is too weak is going to find her own strength.

“The House That Walked Between Worlds” is the first novel in the “Uncertain Sanctuary” series and was released in 2020. This tornado of chaos is ripping through Reality and in its path is the newest House, this forbidding and bleak fortress built of grief and magic by the most unlikely of sorcerers, some human.

One reckless act of compassion costs Dr. Kira Aist her whole family and her future on Earth. In order to escape from her enemies, she calls upon her heritage as a descendant of Baba Yaga and walks between worlds.

While Kira roams the paths of Reality, these strangers are drawn to her house. Some are seeking power, some are seeking refuge, and one only wants kitty treats.

With the fate of multiple worlds left hanging in the balance, Kira has to learn what it truly means to be a sorcerer and the keeper of a House.

This is a compelling and original fantasy novel of a beguiling mystery and multiple worlds.

“Astray” is the first novel in the “Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist” series and was released in 2021. Nora Devi is a xeno-archaeologist with this complicated past. She has buried far more secrets than she has dug up. Widowed during the recently concluded twelve year war between Palantine and Capitoline, now she makes her living as an independent tagger in border space.

Captain Liam Kimani could be the one credited with ending this latest royal war. But instead, he is the one being blamed for it. Dirty commoners are not meant to lay their grubby hands on royalty. But he’s got no regrets.

When he and his crew of the battlecruiser RC Genghis Khan get exiled to Capitoline’s border they learn that life in unexplored space can be much more dangerous than war, and that their best shot of survival lies with this elusive and mysterious tagger. Only problem is that Nora’s secrets could destroy the precarious stability of the whole Human Sector.

This novel is an enthralling and fast paced space opera of ancient aliens, lost societies, rugged warriors, and semi-legal pirates.

“Salvage” is the first novel in the “Delphic Dame” series and was released in 2023. Nobody warned her about the alien baby. Captain Cherry Pendit is quite the improper oracle. Your proper seer warns the hero, and then retires to the luxury of her temple as the hero is saving the day. But that’s just so boring.

Cherry does not need some hero to defy Fate. In fact, her plan is to actually rescue the hero. There may be just a few bumps along the way, like an entire alien species that her oracular talent never warned her about, however Captain Cherry Pendit of the Delphic Dame is ready to overcome and adapt.

If only the pirates, the good guys (who may just be the bad guys) and her allies would just quit interfering by pushing their own dumb agendas. Don’t they realize that should Cherry fail, humanity’s doomed?

This picks Cherry’s story up three years after Nora’s disruption of Human Sector society in “The Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist”. Some unforgettable characters in a fast paced and futuristic thriller novel.
