Jess Mountifield was born in the quaint village of Woodbridge in the United Kingdom, and has spent some of her childhood in the States.

During her short life she’s displayed this innate curiosity for learning new things and has therefore studied a myriad of subjects, from the sciences and maths, to drama and history. She works full time as a mom and author, incorporating many of the subjects that she’s got an interest in within her characters and plots.

When she is not busy with work and keeping her kids alive she can often be found with her friends, playing with miniature characters, dice, and pieces of paper covered in funny notes and stats about these fictional adventures that her figures have been on. She can often be found in a cafe, grinning behind a huge mug of hot chocolate, or at her desk, getting annoyed with her cat for sitting on her keyboard, or on her comfy corner sofa with her buddies, enjoying her high definition television and surround sound system.
